Micromax a25, rocket in your pocket !!! My first Android Mobile review !!!

Hi Frnds,
I have purchased Micromax a25 from saholic.com @3255 rs, i know its also avaliable at cheaper prices at adexmart and other sites but as far as i found review of saholic was good , i ordered at night around 10:00 pm and my goodness , i got my mobile very next day…. its a kind of wow delivery in delhi. As i ordered at night and thinking that someone will call me tomorrow as the order was COD but immediately i got a call from saholic representative that “Sir,you will get your mobile tomorrow” and as they promised , i got my mobile. … i was very happy, thanks to Saholic.com.
Now before reviewing in deep, lets talks about pros and cons of this mobile:-
Pros:-
1. Even with low resolution of display, micromax a25 provides a very good quality UI and screen.
2. Touch is so smooth, and with prompt response.
3. At this price you are getting 1ghz ARMv7 processor and with MTK6575 chipset.
4. With Wi-fi, dual sim,gravity sensor,Magenetic field sensor,Orientation sensor.
5. 3gp/mp4/youtube video play smoothly(depend on your service provider too).
6. Can play temple run/fruit ninja/source forge/tom cat v2/angry birds all seasons.
7. Battery gives about 1 day backup after much use, and with less use it will work for 2 days.
Cons:-
1. Resolution is just 240*320 , so no high res game, apps work on it. Screen is just 2.8 inch.
2. Camera quality is average in daylight and in low light/night it is pathetic.
3. No 3g, GPS, proximity sensor,digital compass, magnometer (think about price).
4. No xvid,Divx, HD 1080p, 720p video support (think about price).
5. Outdated Android 2.3.6 gingerbread (But works well).
6. Ram is less, its only 236 mb and only 80-90 mb free.
7. Comes with very preinstalled apps that always run in background and eat a lot of ram.

Lets talk more about this mobile,
Call /message:-
Call quality is superb and with option of call record, end minute alert and having option to voice conferencing. Messaging at 2.8inch screen is cumbersome but you can rotate your mobile and type in landscape mode. It also comes with hook up app that makes you able to send free sms (i used it and it works).
Fm/video/audio player:-
Having option to record fm, and fm plays very clear, no reception problem. Audio player inbuit is very basic but you can download Playerpro and its add on dsp that is available at rs 15 but you can download free from phoneky website free and this player is having bass boost and equalizer function and after settings it gives me a very pleasure sound with my sony headset. Video player is not very interactive but one can download MX player and it will play almost 3gp/mp4 and other formats ( did’nt check more formats).
UI interface:-
Here micromax did’nt changed anything except with boot screen that shows micromax smarty logo and also a punch …lol. It is purely original android interface but one can change it with different launcher and click on center button and make the new launcher default and use it but i suggest stick to the original. Comes with preloaded wallpapers/live wallpapers /ringtones . Default Interface is good and having all options like multidelete, select multiple . Gallery shows your picture in a very decent and attractive way. Calling dialer is very easy, you can add as many as homepage you want and put shortcuts of application and other widget shortcuts and useful application shortcuts. Its weather widget is bad , it never update and throws error of connection problem of internet while all other application on internet is working fine. Notifications are there for evry event like… msg/missed call/ available open wi fi connection / mail and for others.
Battery:-
Battery backup is somewhat short but with apps like advance task killer, juice defender and with light usage one can use it for two days. To save battery every time before lock screen kill task from advance task killer. SO for me its good. Battery charging time is around 2-3 hours.
Wif i/Bluetooth/edge:-
Wi f is very good and makes no problem in connection and works very well (checked on open connection) , bluetooth is easy and fast and edge and gprs works well. I am using airtel and youtube plays smoothly in my area (wait for some buffering in start). Never forget to off data connection when not in use,.
Camera/video recording:-
Camera quality is not bad , in daylight it is good and in night it is very blur , u have option such as smile shots , burst shot , panorama view but its not having good camera. After very much setting , in night it can give you good output but not satisfactory. Leave the desire of video recording… 
Applications/Response:-
With 1ghz processor it plays many games and supports many application too , i played many games and it plays all of them without any lag. Many preinstalled application are there , it takes a good amount of ram but we can not uninstall it (Without rooting) . I recommend that before playing games with large sizes like temple run.. go to settings →application→ running services and kill services that are not useful and atleast make 80-90 mb ram free then you can play games without any lag. After exiting from games it takes 1-2 seconds for displaying menu but it is normal.
.Unable to install its drivers so Usb tethering not working for me( Drivers available but i am unable to install it ) , i will try again and install it. Overall i am very happy and enjoying it , in just around 3k its very good mobile and i would like to give it 4.5 stars out of 5. It is also a value for money product.
