One more reason to avoid Shopclues

I ordered Jackly ToolKit 33 In 1 MultiFunction Magnetic Tool Kit from Shopclues on 1st Aug 2013 for a friend.

It was officially shipped on 10th Aug 2013.

But the tracking number was not working on the blue dart tracker. So after 3-4 days i called Shopclues to check what was the issue. They confirmed that the tracking number was not working and the guy after a long hold said their backend team had a word with Blue dart and it will updated within 3 days.

Obviously that did not happen, i called again to know my complaint was never noted down and they said they have no record of me calling them in last 30 days…. hence no action has been taken from them regarding the same.

This time (22 Aug) i asked them to send me a mail with a complaint number and the promised resolution which they sent stating they’ll check everything and get back to me within 2 working days

It’s been more than 7 days but i never got a revert from them.

I called them again only to hear that they apologize for the inconvenience!! and they will either ship within 2-3 days or refund.

I asked the representative that if she agrees i was given a fake tracking number and she said it wasn’t fake but it was a wrong number may be because of a typo. I asked her even if that is true that means my product must have been shipped and whether i have the tracking number or not it should have been delivered by now and she had nothing to say about it.

So it’s almost 30 days or a month and shopclues is sitting on my money though it isn’t a big amount as in my earlier case( http://www.desidime.com/forums/product-reviews/… )

All in all if you are lucky enough you will get you product delivered without any hassles but if you ain’t lucky then may God have mercy on your poor soul as Shopclues is India’s worst un-managed marketplace with no control on it’s vendors and with no deadlines to deliver unlike ebay…..

They should have the tagline – Shopclues – India’s only marketplace where you shop at your own risk…

While there are stores that take lots of trouble with CC, most are just operators who have no clue why there are running a business, save that they think it is a great idea, or they have no other thing to do. These jokers dont know how to run the business.

there is no typo error for such things…!! the tracking no. are automatically pulled from courier company’s database once seller confirms the packing of order/printing labels etc…these tracking no. are automatically provided to buyer and there is no manual work needed..

it’s just that order was not picked up…may b left in one corner and forgotten..!!

I had a similar issue when i purchased a nokia lumia 520. 9320 bucks stuck with them for over 30 days with a fake bluedart tracking number. I was so disgusted that i recorded each and every call, uploaded it to youtube, shared it on facebook, opened a shopclues-we the cheats community, tried with the Akosha team, left bad comments in mouthshut, asked axis bank to cancel the EMIs (what they actually did is, they cancelled the emis and paid them in full and were asking for 250 bucks more if i had to again convert it to emis), abused them like anything and was finally thinking about a consumer case. All these days they kept me convincing that the order has been shipped and they can’t cancel the order and it should reach me within 2-3 working days. I HAVE GIVEN UP ON SHOPCLUES.

I don’t say anything about shopclues, as i didn’t faced any such problem except once a low quality product was sent. But the problem may reside in the courier. Most of the goods on shopclues are sent through BLUEDART. so when you get a tracking number that one is not working, then instead of calling shopclues call nearest bluedart courier center & ask for you consignment with the details that you got. This thing happened with me almost 4~5 times. everytime i used to call local bluedart courier office & they used to say “Yes sir we have the consignment, but don’t know where to drop it.”. Then i used to guide them the way to my home. If you are thinking my address would have been wrong, then no everytime my address was clear & simple to guide them, but still these courier guys are so dump that they cannot track a simple address too… this thing experienced only with bluedart & professional couriers. All other couriers are too good to find my home easily.

Buddy if that is ever the case, shopclues too can contact bluedart and guide us what to do next. Anyways i did contact bluedart and they said the awb does not exist, so it’s shopclues or the merchant who is responsible.
