On 17th feb i ordered 3 things from khoobsurati.com.
1. Votre Gold and Topaz Facial Kit.
2. Votre White essence massage cream on 50% discount.
3. Votre Dermabrade scrub.

On 19th i received a mail saying
“Dear Customer,

Greetings Of The Day!

Kindly be informed that we were trying to call you from tomorrow, however your no. was not reachable.

As per our information from the brand votre, the product Votre – Dermabrade Scrub is not available with the company. So we can dispatch you the remaining products and the remaining amount will be adjusted.

Kindly revert us with your confirmation so that we can soon dispatch this order.

so i replied…

“Yes, please dispatch the remaining products. I would totally appreciate it. I’m sorry but I have been receiving other calls fine.. So i don’t know what’s the problem.”

What i received was a facial and a white essence cream package which is already expired, What i do not understand is how an you put a expired product under stock clearance sale. . It says “BEST BEFORE FEB 15” clearly on the package. Calling their customer care number 0120-3021392 is futile as it says “This number does not exist, please check the no. you have dialled.”

So i wrote them a mail today as soon as i received the package stating…

“On 19th i order 2 products under the order no. 400052008.
One of the products, " Votre White Essence Massage Cream – 200 gms" sent to me is already expired.
The label clearly states that the product is " Best before 02(FEB)2015" . Hence its highly unethical of you to have sent me this expired product.

Its unfortunate that my first order with Khoobsurati has turned out like this. I hope you will do the needfull so that my first time ordering from khoobsurati will not turn out to be a bad experience.

I would appreciate if you can arrange for a pickup of the product and kindly refund me my money for this particular product.

And i also hope you will stop listing expired products in your website in future for it could put off other people from buying discounted products from your website.

I’m also not able to call the customer helpline no : 0120-3021392 from my mobile phone, as it says please check the number you have dialed, this number does not exit."

For which i received a reply stating…

We would like to inform you that we have already mentioned the expiry date is clearly mentioned in description part.

We are offering this product under stock clearance sale with 50% off and it is our customer choice weather they have to purchase it or not.

We will not be able to refund your product amount , as we refund or replace the product in those cases where the item is ‘Damaged’, ‘Defective’ or ‘Not as Described’.

So we can not refund the amount and we are really sorry for the inconvenience.

“Can you please take the FACT into consideration that this order was first ordered with the original order number : 400051971
on 17th february 2015, But the order was revised due to one more product not being in stock " Votre Dermabrade scrub" Which is still showing as listed for sale on your website under the following link.

As in this case i understand it takes time to review your stock and update your website.

i clearly understand the process of website updating and i understand that, the Expiry information was added on dates after the order was placed. Please look in to your page maintenance history , it would be clear
that, that particular line was added later. WHEN I ORDERED THAT LINE WAS NOT THERE.
I would appretiate it ff you take that fact into consideration.
I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE in this regard. BUT YOUR CUSTOMER CARE HELPLINE IS NOT WORKING

now i am waiting for their mail….And i just want to say its not a matter of 500 buckks but i cant believe hey describe an expired product as “Kindly Note that this product is having expiry of Feb-2015, However the product is new and the quality is best, and we are selling it at a half price of the original MRP.”

The thing is, that message was not there when i bought that product. But all they have to do is not even believe me, but just look into that page’s update history to see when that info was added. I am tempted to let this slide this time and never order from them again. But its just that i’m bothered by the fact that what they are doing is giving mis-information to customers.
