I had purchased airtyme flaunt for 2.4k (Now its available for even less)1 month back from Ebay. This is an amazing value for money mobile. Also note in mind that it is manufactured by SHARP, a succesful american company

Pros:
1. Qwerty keypad – It is an absolute joy to use as the keys are spaced well and you can type very fast. Much better than touchscreen interface. Also this becomes important during surfing while entering web addresses.

2.Crisp and clear audio quality- I was surprised at the audio output of this mobile. Better than my samsung music duos mobile phone and also the bundled earphones are also very good. Though there is not much bass audible,i dint really care as the clarity of music appeals to me first.

3. Decent Camera – Even in low light areas, it was able to take decent pics although you have to hold it really still to avoid shaky pics. Outdoor pics are very good and have good color and contrast.

4- Supports 3G, although i have not tested it yet.

5- 32 GB Expandable. This was the deal maker for me as a 3.2 inch screen coupled with 32gb enabled me to put all my tv series collection (himym, friends) onto it after converting to MP4. You can use Pazera PSP Video converter with resolution as 400*240 for fullscreen viewing.

Now for some not so good features

Cons:

1) Surfing and watching videos sucks battery like Crazy. After 2.5 hours of video, the battery was almost empty. For regular surfing it is fine, but when u start downloading songs, battery starts draining. After 5 songs download, it was down to 3 bars from 5 bars.

2) While surfing ,the trackball is very inconvenient as you have to move it frequently to reach where you want on the page. The up/down/left/right keys are somewhat useful, but still surfing with these buttons is a minor inconvenience

3)Since its a swivel, rotating screen, there is always danger of spring being loose and the phone being useless if not handled carefully. I always take care to slide out the screen slowly so as to avoid a sudden swiveling out.

I am really pleased with this mobile and it will last me a good couple of months it seems. For the time being ,i am enjoying the good audio, qwerty keypad and saving money for my next mobile,

Thank you All,

Srikant

Im using Tata docomo GPRS where you had to set APN Manually. I am able to connect to internet fine over DOCOMO GPRS . It only slows down where network strnegth is not that good. Sometimes at night, the speed is awesome. Also keep in mind that since it is opera mini old browser, it by default displays the mobile version of all websites, which is fine for me as while surfing on a small screen i prefer the text rich, less image browsing.

Music quality of ear phones is quite good. I will say it is even slightly better than my 500rs panasonic earphones. With higher quality earphones, it may sound even better. The music quality output is as good as my old philips go gear. Unless you are a strict audiophile, you will definitely enjoy the good music output.

Battery backup for general use is fine ( 2 hrs music, 30 mins surfing net, 30 mins call ) and it is down to 3 bars from 5 bars. One thing i noticed is ,if u set display to just one notch higher than lowest brightness, the battery life improves. Im seeing its the brightness setting which determines battery life. I have set it as +1 (down from +4 which is default setting) permanently now and even at that setting, everything is perfectly visible and readable .

this is more than value for money…
double value for money…
you forget how it feels in hand… how people ask you “let me see it, it is awsome”
