Rs. 19999 minus 1500 with icici debit, credit (except Amazon icici.,.) and Citi credit card.

Since 2 months been stalking acer vg271u, dell s2721dgf, etc but they are either out of stock for my pincode or cost Rs. 25000-32000. Today big 10000 special discount and also credit card offer working on 2-3 monitors before Republic Day sale. Also is 29000 now on Acer's own shop. Similar price on amazon.

Config: 144Hz, WQHD, 27", nice stand, sync thing, etc.

Ordered for 18499. Also might get 1000 supercoins making effective price below 18400.

Almost all monitors in India are 3+ yr old models, cannot get rid of that. They don't even bother to give Indian 6amp plug. And not to mention that Good+affordable models were not even launched in India, only ~Rs. 50000 flagships. HDR certifier DisplayHDR.org has list with very few in India, none of those under 32000 Samsung LC series are on amazon.

BUT 4K monitor is similarly priced.  If you don't need 144hz, get 4k/uhd with 60-75Hz similar price.

The other monitor with working citi/icici debit/credit card offer of Rs. 1400 is HP X24i. its 144hz 24", total Rs. 12599.

Was not getting any good card (hdfc citi icici) discount on 99% other monitors on both flipkart and amazon since 2 months (seen only AU, Federal, Yes bank 10% offers after Diwali). Also JioMart has AU bank only offer right now with nice monitors. Croma has nothing in stock. RelianceDigital was not showing any card offer on monitors this week

(I cancelled my order after reading many such reports online.)

all youtube reviews show instant plug n play .

But mine did not work with Windows 10 11 laptops. Also used Win 7 USB bootdisk and it did not detect monitor.

BUT it worked with usb Puppy Linux  and another linux, worked with tv settop box and tv-stick-dongle. Also worked with usb-c-to-hdmi converter (bought for Rs. 500 next day) on same laptop on which was not working, and Tab S7's usb-c. I don't have DP port or converter so no 144Hz, getting 60Hz with hdmi. (others monitors play upto 75Hz or 144Hz with hdmi, but its my fault as pdf manual says 60Hz max with hdmi).

But it still does not directly work with HDMI even after getting Acer drivers online.

Acer did try and sent engineer but he tried old simple methods like re-installing graphics drivers and wanted to format my laptop to Windows 8.1 and other excuses.

But flipkart is ver bad, return/replace option does not work on website or app. On phone they denied return and asked to call acer again n again.

Monitors are supposed to be like ready to project for anyone's laptop in college or office. Even in old VGA times. This piece (cannot say all xb271hu models because others give nice reviews and instant plug play video review on youtbe) has serious electronics problem as windows does not even show "unknown device". Forcing drivers manually from safe mode and going to normal only shows error code 45 (no device). Acer engineer did not know how to reset or update monitor firmware. Still with me and flipkart's option is not working but no problem as got for discount and works on the usb-c laptop, not this one with usb A (not buying another convert now).

Flipkart is showing " something went wrong Please try again " since 4 days. They specifically blocked me from returning/replacing, complained only 1 time on their phone and 2 times on chat, when they said talk to acer

i dont know. everyone thinks like that. it has big speakers too and costs very very less per inch.

But you put all that luminance nits in eyes if reading screen 4 hours from 1 feet. Thats why monitors use restricted hdr600 hdr400 (400 nit). But all this can be scam by monitors makers and waste of money as price sifference is high. But monitors do give lot better game response time and some more Hz.

TV as monitor is nice with videos and shopping site browsing from 4+ feet.

Hisense 65U7H TV is for gaming though 120Hz 6-7ms 65", probably due to so many console+tv customers. Rs, 66000

I am worried now. Saw VG271U at 23500 on original Acer shop. They replaced it with XB271HU at Rs. 29999 last month. So I quickly bought from flipkart today seeing price drop and card discount. Also confused it with XV272U.

ignored date this time because just saw looks and Rs. 35k on amazon.  2016 must mean full usa reject. usa ppl must be getting 8K on normal budget and 4K 120Hz on low budget in 2022-23

300 is enough...

The response time feels bit slow here , can cause ghosting issues. Please check before buying.

~20k is the regular sale day price for this model (Amazon/Appario cleared it for 10k). Not a bad option for the price but you should know that this got only two video inputs and if you're planning for a twin-monitor setup the refresh rate on the second through HDMI port will be limited to 75Hz (v1.4)

Talking for normal phone/monitor and even normal TV (any resolution) ?

HDR (any resolution) needs high luminance ( brightness is also right word?) . HDR is not visible at low and normal brightness. And may also need high black contrast without screen bleed/white bleed or black smudge thing (forgot word for that).

Also its not direct math thing. Many UHD(4K) with wide colour gamut ( 120% sRGB+ / 10-bit colour ) do NOT mention HDR a feature. example Philips 325E8/94. TVs are allowed to emit lot of light cheaply, but monitors need to control for eye safety (even if do not want TUV certificate thing)

Forgot to mention its IPS and its important for deal posting because VA/TN are cheaper than IPS. But dont know how to edit topic. My topic says IPS but this post title has no IPS word

Biggest problem buying monitors from flipkart is service center replacement. If you get monitor with less than 5 dead pixels brand does not provide replacement and flipkart does not take responsibility. You are stuck with a monitor with dead pixels which. This has happened with me, I had purchased Acer 18.5 monitor with inbuilt camera and the same has 2 dead pixels right in the center, its so annoying but I don't have any other options and my eyes have adjusted for above for above problem. Please avoid buying monitors from Flipkart.

Same case with brand official e-stores too. No return/replacement of monitors when the dead pixel count doesn't cross the brand's specified threshold. Amazon and Flipkart used to offer return/replacements easily just to establish themselves but i guess they don't need this anymore

I got Mi 4k 43" TV with dead pixels from Amazon in Dec 2021. Raised issue. Got call from Amazon Inspection guy. He asked me about issue over phone. Got it replaced withtin 10 days... even replacement unit  was having dead pixels. Raised issue again. Got call from Amazon Inspection guy again.  He asked me about issue over phone again and saved his 30-40kms of travel twice. Got refund after 5-7 days after pickup.

Amazon is very good when it comes to return or replacement, I had received a phone that was not charging, at first, I was told to get DOA certificate but when I told them that service center of the brand (Alcatel) was more than 100kms from my city they initiated return and refunded my money. With Flipkart I had such a horrible experience that I will never buy a phone on Flipkart. I had bought a K20 pro and was told to get phone serviced from service center, when I told that I need a replacement as phone is brand new I was told to get a DOA when I went to service center they refused to give DOA as phone was working and already 7 days has passed, I told them that 4 days went in to transport after invoice was generated but still they did not offer me DOA, finally I had to fight with flipkart CC on Facebook and email and after a month I was provided a replacement for the same.

received in 1.5 days.

So, its not working. Manufacture date is 2020. Every item was seal packed.

Monitor starts with predator and nvidia gsync logo. Changed input to hdmi. Tried hdmi connection with two laptops and two speare cables and duplicate extend second-screen project modes. It says "no signal". Used hdmi cable sealed in box. Still no  signal. Reading online pdf manual

Yes and similar complains with Appario Retails on Amazon. so I first bought Acer VG271U directly from shop.acer.com in December but they cancelled and refunded with status "Processing". And its still under processing after 20 days ,. . On asking refund/cancel reason and meaning of "processing" Acer care said "MAYBE its out of stock".

How is the picture quality though? Does it feel like a good IPS diplay with truly wide viewing angles? Asking because one review on Flipkart says the viewing angles are not as good as modern IPS displays. Whereas rtings review says its alright.

no its good. He was talking about 2016 era reviews itself without purchasing (I cannot check ghosting thing without DP port). Mine is 2020 manufactured and I opted this one because Predator is flagship series and even if model is old I felt safe about "DEAD PIXELS, EXTRA SCREEN BLEED, DAMAGE, etc.".  Many had newer HDMI 2.0, 2.1 and maybe better IPS but lot of complaints. And unlike mobiles which are all 2021-23models, Indian monitors are all old models anyway, under Rs. 30000.

But I hate this one. its paperweight facing corner wall, as I am mostly on Windows on old laptop without usb-c. Monitor worked with usb-c-hdmi cable on other laptop, but I got it for Rs. 500 which flipkart or Acer should have gifted me.

And for eye comfort most settings in this are with bluelight filter ON. Need to select Game-Mode colour setting for normal good white colours even if not using real game-mode (Hz, response, overclock, colours). Stand is heavy and durable with portrait mode and wire organising space. But is bad because only 1 HDMI and 1 DP. I wanted 2 HDMI. No laptop has DP-out without expensive usb-c/thuderbolt converter cable. So biggest problem even it worked 'd've been "MAX 60Hz with HDMI". Even for  75 DP is needed, forget 85 144 165. I assumed 75.  So lesson is read real pdf manual before buying, its mentioned threre but not on websites. (though mine is strangely defective piece with monitor firmware not recognizing Windows-HDMI port, simply no signal error 45, and dumb Acer India mechanics and CEO cannot reset firmware).

Your question "picture quality". its good crisp but buy 4K now if dont need above 60Hz and budget under 30000
