A Guy Received A Fraud Call From Scammers; He Taught Him The Best Lesson; Listen Recording Till The End Article Link: https://m.dailyhunt.in/news/india/english/enter... Scammers are on full-time duty. Beware. I got a call today for the same VIP Money Savings/Discount Card. If it's allowed, I'll share the mobile no. from which I received the call too on this post itself. The concept of the call was like - (The conversation was in Hindi, but writing here in English Translation version. I've the Call Recorded with me) * Caller: Good Evening, I'm Vishal from Credit Card (Service) Department. You have been called to let you know that from now onwards, you're going to get 5 additional benefits on your CC. You've have the CC, right? * Me: Wait, from which CC Issuing Company are you calling from? * Caller: I'm calling from CC Service Department, you must have heard that na. It's not related to any specific one. It's for all cards. * Me: What's this? Listen, I'm not interested in any scrap you're going to provide me. I'm not going to give you any info. * Caller: No, no, I'm not asking any info from you. I just called you to let you know the 5 extra benefits you're going to get while using your Credit Card anywhere and everywhere either online or offline. You have the CC, right? Which card is it, Master or VISA CARD? * Me: Why shall I tell you? You just said that you're not going to ask me anything, rather will just provide me the info, so go ahead. You've called me, so you must me knowing who you're calling to? Who am I? What's my name? * Caller: I'm calling you based on your no. selected randomly, not name. We just have your profile, where I can see that you've good Credit Score, blah..blah..blah...(trying to convince me) * Me: Ok, as you don't know me, so what if I intentionally give wrong info to you? * Caller: That's why I'm verifying you by asking which card type do you have, Master Card or VISA? * Me: Ok, VISA (randomly). * Caller: In which color is the name "VISA" written on your card? * Me: What the heck!! What type of question is this? Even I never noted this. * C: Don't you have the card with you? Check and let me know. * M: Ok, White (randomly). Now, just give me the info you have or else cut the crap. * C: Ok, thank you. Now, let me tell you the benefits. (Rest was almost same as mentioned in the article linked above, except Laptop as a choice in the gift items) At last, he hurriedly mentioned the amount of 8K+ as a charge for the benefits. * M: Wait!! What's this charge about? And when, how and to whom do I need to pay? * C: You must be triggered by hearing this 9K, as it's a big amount...blah..blah...blah... * M: Stop it and just answer straight to the point, what I asked you. (Again, he tried to repeat the same above line, and I interrupted him again). * C: (Finally) Ok, the amount will be freezed in your account first, then just like CC Bill Payment, that will be deducted after 50 days. You don't need to pay anyone. It'll be auto-deducted. But that for all the huge benefits you're going to get, as you must be knowing that nothing comes free. * Me: Great. Now listen carefully. Neither do I've a "VISA, nor do I have any CC". I just randomly said the name and color to you. I only have "Amex", that too a Debit Card, for which I don't even know which color is it. (Suddenly, I started hearing the tone when a call is disconnected from the other side). End of the to-be-a-scam for me Now, you guys can write Moral of the Conversation in the comment section... stuck_out_tongue stuck_out_tongue
