Your data is for sale already . What Aadhar does is probably make it easier to gather all the data in one place. However it no where comes near to what Google and Facebook has on you and your life.

Right from what you eat, where you live, what your interests are, where you visit , who you visit with, what is your political ideology, what is your mental state (Yes they can predict that too), how many kids you have, what sexual orientation are you, what are your p0rn fetishes (you think those Incognito mode can help you hide it from Google ? ), what is your physical health state, they can so much so predict what you might do this weekend better than you, with every click you are only revealing more of yourself.

Aadhar is a financial Data base while Google and Facebook are literally a Database of your life . All the apps that you have on your Android and Apple devices ARE spying on you all the time. They have their microphones on all the time listening to what you say, if you are taking with your parents about a dinner night out, without even you have searched for it you will get suggestions from the cute Google Now with the restaurants lined up (sponsored by the local restaurants to have their listing higher up). You think this is impossible ?

So what is the above rant got to do with the issue that is being discussed about Aadhar ?? It is not the linking of services that we should be worrying about but rather the safety of such data. However not all of your run of the mill hacker can hack into databases like that of Aadhar’s.. either the guy/gal should posses some insane amount of skills or there are literally hundreds of hackers with the support of a big government backing them.. say like… China ?!. Another tidbit all those Chinese smartphone lovers.. yeah you Xiaomi,Vivo,Oppo,Oneplus, etc etc etc users you guys are already selling your data to the Chinese just that you don’t know it.

How someone was accused above as falling for this for a hundred rupees.. well you guys fell too albeit for a few hundreds more amount and now have Chinese rootkit/backdoor in each of your devices.

Note this is not to say Aadhar is flawless or is it safe. It has it’s flaws, but with the changing times and the benefits it bring in we need to move along. While you think of the negatives of Aadhar think of the positives too and come to an informed decision. Linking all your services with Aadhar is scary and how a government like Congress if comes to power can use this as a punishing tool.. like locking you out of your financial sources with just an order. But what we should strive on is to bring in laws so that governments CAN NOT do just that. I can still go on and on .. but I hope you got the gist. So the bottom line is linking or not linking the Aadhar is your prerogative and use it wisely but do not get on the moral high horse for either linking it or for not linking it .. Peace
