However, it’s explicitly mentioned that Gift cards are excluded.
“Applicable on website and App. Excluding: Amazon Pay balance, Bill Payments, Gift Cards, Select mobile phones and others. Refer T&C’s for details*”
Also, note that the bonus rewards points are credited post 90days. Most likely it’ll be a manual process with Amazon sharing the list of products bought and hence Amex will be able to differentiate between Gift card vs others.
