Amex recently sent out this lucrative offer for Platinum charge card holders few weeks ago and the good thing about this offer is that its valid till 31st Dec 2021. So you’ve a whole year to make use of it.

With 30% return on spend, it’s definitely a nice offer and is in par with the HDFC super premium cards that gives 33% back as points. Further, the offer is valid for travel till Dec 2021 which is great.

Note that 1L spend is for domestic travel only and not international. You will find it very hard to spend 1L on a single reservation for domestic travel.
On the other hand HDFC super premium cards no longer offer 33% back as points, not across most categories and not to mention they are capped. 7500 for Diner’s Black and 15000 on Infinia per month. That percentage keeps dropping as you spend more.
e.g. for 1L spend, apart from regular 5 points for 150 spent, you are capped at 7500 or 15000 depending on the card.
DBC would get you a 3330+7500= 10830 and Infinia would get you 3330+15000 =18330, which is roughly 10.8 and 18.3% back as points.
