Yes they are more fragile at ends but a lot depends on user.....u don't pull by the cable & don't bend it at extremes, it will last really long

That's exactly the definition of a less durable cable. You need to be careful with it.
Although, I have never broken Apple cable as well (using an ipad since 2016). But there are much better third party cables out there (some of which you've already mentioned)

I bought one amazon basics cable for iPhone & it started giving issues specially for data transfer kind of things but Apple cable never gives such troubles. In fact cheap Portronics is way better in that aspect
