*Most of the extended warranty offers are just scams. They are designed, to make money, by manufacturers. Modern laptops are really well built. They last at least for 5 years. For e.g. I have an 11 years old Compaq. But if a state of peace of mind can be obtained by spending 400-900 rupees then I don’t see anything wrong in that approach smile

Those who bought laptops buy these things. Remember they don’t cover battery. Battery coverage is one year as usual

I do not know bhai. They give a period of 7-15 days from date of purchase. Kindly read those docs and verify for yourself

Yes bhai. But no accidental damage protection. Warranty gets void if you try to service your own laptop or use an unauthorised service centre

Yes, today only I asked the Acer and Asus customer care. And they said you buy anywhere in India, from authorised dealers, including Paytm, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata cliq etc, if you register then you ll be given the benefits.

Bhai they don’t make laptops nowadays like older times.I have also seen people running their laptops for more than 5 years but with occasional repairs(charging issue, sound issue, screen issue etc). I bet your compaq laptop touchpad is probably better than most 30-35k laptops selling today.

Also found this interesting/disturbing info from acer warranty site link you gave:

Warranty shall be rendered null and void if:
f) A non-Acer India certified product (like RAM, HDD, etc) is added internally to the desktop or notebook.

Asus site doesn’t mention this as Acer so safe to assume above is only applicable to Acer.

Bhai I asked Asus customer service. They supported my claim. Battery is not covered and unauthorised repairs render warranty void. Only MSI supports unauthorised ram, HDD upgrades.

Bhai HP is not making quality products anymore. They make cheap, overpriced not so well built products with less features
