Can we downgrade the account to lower variant at later stage ?
Yesterday, I was opening zero balance saving account, I put VID number then put OTP, it said your mobile number is not linked with aadhaar. Today, I again put with same mobile number. It says demographic changes use aadhaar link number. I couldn't go to next page. Then I talked to customer care, they also unable to solve problem. They said go to Bank's branch. Bank official also said we are not opening zero balance account. Someone sardarji gave me someone's mobile number. His shop is in resettlement colony, I think he is opening basic Jan-Dhan account zero balance. He said bring aadhar card. I said I can give you VID number. He refused. I don't want to take risk of fraud so I dropped idea. Is there is another way to open it.
