Panasonic Enloop or Ikea Ladda, don't even bother with anything else.

I'm using these BPL batteries since last year. These is very good deal. These are Li-ion batteries, which are usb rechargeable. No need of special charger. Also I'm not aware of other good brand which is providing same. Let me know if you know any brand. I believe 800mah ones are Nicd batteries. Li-ion batteries are better anyday.

Challenge with the well know brands is, you got to be lucky to get original. I had ordered eneloop batteries and they leaked within 6 months. Lost main door smart lock due to the leakage.

Unfortunately not. I always though Panasonic eneloop is the best but they are not. Atleast not what these online platforms are selling these days!!

Each battery has a micro usb connector. Just plug the micro usb charging cable.

No need for special charger means?
How to charge, without a separate device for charging?

Thanks.
Yes, cross-checked now.
Maybe they sacrificed capacity, for this design.
But it is a step forwatd, which will see mainstream brands too using it more often.

I only hope that these turn out to be safe in the longer term.

Hope there are no hiccups either in backward compatibility with existing chargers.

You cannot/need not charge them existing battery chargers.
AA comes with usb A connector which you can plug directly into phone charger/power bank. and AAA comes with microusb connector, where you can use phone charger and micro usb cable to charge. Both ways are very convenient.

In my personal experience of using this over year, I found no issues.

Yes. I'll also want to see more mainstream brands provide AA, AAA li-ion batteries with usb c port for charging.
