Not sure when you used MK last but things have improved.
Payment to CC is instant .. i get payment confirmation sms from CC even before I get debit sms.
Also, i use MK for getting rewards on my hdfc debit card spends which is lot more valuable compared to cashback that MK give for using coupons. Most times I pay cc bill without a coupon, Their cb is just cherry on top.

Just now I paid 10k using CL1CCBP and then tried applying other codes and it's getting applied. I haven't received cashback for the 1st transaction yet but it looks like the codes are working for the 2nd time as well. In case anyone wants to try then go ahead at your own risk.
I am still able to apply for the 2nd time, maybe I haven't received CB yet that's why it's working.
