Koi nahi, dramless ssd hai naa ki MX500 and 250gb is just enough for windows & some software nowadays so not good for laptops either. Get at least 500gb ssd that too MX500 if planning on using it as windows boot drive if using some old system with no NVMe port else WD SN570 is much better than even MX500.

Go for mx500 or evo 870 or adata Su800. There is huge performance gap between normal ssd and ssd with dram.

If you not using as booting device then ok. The thing is if you are getting for storage then go for 500gb or 1tb model. You will get around 220gb storage in 240 gb drive. That jeopardize the whole purpose of storage.

This was 2 pack deal so basically 440GB space for 1042. Still, another thing to keep in mind is that write speeds post cache can be very slow on such models(on BX500 write speeds can drop to as low as 50MB/s once cache is filled) so even for storage these ssd are only good if not going to write more than 15-20GB in one go or just write everything in one go at a slow speed once to fill the entire ssd & then just use them for reading/copying data.

true such small size ssds have different use cases now

For me, 1) I will be using them in my home server for plex and torrents 😄
2) Boot Retropi from ssd as from sdcards its much slower

1. Torrents are not suggested for dramless ssd with their low endurance.
2. This is good use of such dramless ssd, basically WORM(write once read many).

Not so heavy on torrenting... I usually download like only 10-20 gb a month and move them to my local network storage for streaming...

Now will be downloading directly on one of these drives using pi + transmission

Yaa now showing "Cancellation Requested" who I don't know. I have past experience of cancellation without any reason from them. 

Guys with my past experience cancelled order by Tatacliq will not do auto credit to bank/cc. So I suggest you to check bank/CC statement after 1week and escalate for no auto credit .
