- Create a team of three players invite your friends or ask fellow dimers to form a team
- Decide The Team Name
- And be ready to rumble
- Last date for team submission 2nd March 2013
- Contest begins 4th March and ends on 24th March 2013.
Max of 40 Teams can participate in the DPL 2013
Round 1 – Knock Out Stage
20 teams Vs 20 teams
Each team will get a chance to compete one other team,
Each team has to select their best player and msg the admin before the match day,
At a predetermined time a product image will be shown in the contest thread,
The person to find the best deal for that product wins
1. The deal can be made using coupons, but the coupon has to be generic coupon (no one time use coupon codes, no bank specific coupon codes). Signup/Registrations coupons would be acceptable.
2. International sites shipping to India is not allowed
3. If the deal is from ebay, seller rating less than 50 will not be allowed (unless it is promoted by ebay itself)
4. Deal/Coupons from sites which are banned on Desi Dime won’t be allowed in the contest.
5. Other terms & Conditions as applicable
The final decision will be of the admin/mod team.

One player will be awarded man of the series
Wild Card Entry
- 2 Teams will be given Wild Card entries based on most number of referrals from each team member. You can find your referral link under Settings page. Ask your friends to join Desidime and you might get a wild card entry if you lose in Round 1..EDIT: or / And will be decided by the Admin team
- 1 Team will be given Wild Card entires based on most number of FPD’s collectively from each team member.
- 1 Team will be given Wild Card entires based on most number of Karma points collectively from each team member.
Rules & Condition
- You need to be 15 years or older to participate
- If found to create multiple ID’s or found doing unethical things the team would be disqualified
- The Prizes would be delivered only within India
- All other Privacy policy and terms of use of the website will be applicable for the contest as well
- Other terms & Conditions as applicable
- The final call will be of the Admin team, in case of any disputes
- Number of teams and format can change till the last minute and will be on Admin team’s discretion
- At the end of the contest the winning teams will be contacted by the admin team to inform them on how to claim their prizes

There is no need of asking/claiming the prizes (IF ANY), somebody from admin team/Mod will send u the PM,

In Round 1, are team members allowed to help their best player via PMs?
It would be nice if yes otherwise there is not much point in having a team. Please allow this because, it it is not allowed, I’m pretty certain people would be using offline means to help (i.e. calling/chatting/emailing outside of DD)

Gift Tax in India
Gift tax in India is governed under the Gift Tax Act constituted on April 1, 1958. As per the Gift Act 1958, all gifts in excess of Rs. 25,000, in the form of cash (including draft / cheque), received from one who does not have blood relations with the recipient, were taxable. However, with effect from October 1, 1998, gift tax got demolished and all the gifts made on or after the date were free from tax. But in 2004, Gift Tax was again revived partially and a new provision was introduced in the Income Tax Act 1961 under section 56 (2). According to this, �any gifts� received by any individual or Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) in excess of Rs. 50,000 in a year would be taxable (there are exceptions to this which we will deal with subsequently).Exemption from Gift Tax:
In the following case, the receiver will be exempt from applicable gift tax: � The gift being given by a blood relative, irrespective of the gift value� Immovable properties located outside the country
� Gifts received from relatives on the occasion of marriage (including gifts received by daughter-in-law from parents-in-law; but excluding gifts received by son-in-law from parents-in-law)
� Gifts received by way of a will and inheritance
� NRIs gifting parents in India from their NRE account

The section goes on to define the term �relative� to ensure that there are no loop holes which could in turn lead to some sort of money laundering. The relations who would come under the ambit include � � Spouse of the individual� Brother or sister of the individual
� Brother or sister of the spouse of the individual
� Brother or sister of either of the parents of the individual
� Any lineal ascendant or descendant of the individuals
� Any lineal ascendant or descendant of spouse of the individuals

Gifting Minors & Realty
Even gifts received by minors will be brought within the purview of taxes by means of clubbing of income, incase of both parents having taxable income, it will be clubbed with the parent who is earning the highest.
