In that case you can gift wrap the item and declare the poduct old(second hand) and decrease its price to 220$ or so. It will pass the customs and you may have to only pay 2-3k.

And ya I’m not sure about how much in total these guys will charge. I have posted because they are kind of most reliable in this business.

I dont think old/used/refurbished products can be imported. anybody please clarify

For Electronics anything more than 150-200$ and these custom guys here will rip you off. I bought a laptop for around 1000$ and asked the seller to change the invoice value to 300$. He did it. And, since before also I bought a 350$ Camera which they charged me around 3.5k import but after including that also I was saving 6k. So, I went through it. But, when the Laptop reached India,Fedex guys called me and said that the Import duty was 10k and so I have to go to their office and release it. On listening 10k I was like wtf. And, then I came to know that these custom guys can ask for any random amount. Depends on their mood.
So, I would not recommend this to anyone. Yeah less than 150$ value,you can always go for this option.

No man its not possible to get those kind of deals. As these require a hell lot of info including a US permanent address,ones SSN and many more. And, if by any chance you get a hold of someone through whom you get this deal then also if you unlock the phone before the contract ends, the person in whose name is it purchased faces severe consequenses. So, its only possible if someone buys it and uses it for full contract after that only you can unlock them.

I think now it should be clear regarding such kind of deals.

I tried to buy a samsung 32eh5000 tv in amazon, the price was 297 $ , but including shipping and import duties deposit the final total comes to 514 $ and from wherever i searched in the internet i foundd that i will get a refund of about 50 $ for import duties.

Yeah, Thats right!
You can search in eBay to find cheap deals for locked phones and get that!

Beware of Stolen/ Barred/ Insurance claimed phones. Some network wont give unlock for that whatever you pay!
