FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly while the vehicle is in motion. FASTag (RFID Tag) is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle and enables a customer to make the toll payments directly from the account which is linked to FASTag.

It’s already mentioned in today’s “NavBharat” and other Newspapers too…….but deal means, which we can buy from any site for free….so, I don’t think that u have done anything new bro…….find any site or app from where we can buy fastag at 0 because taking it from toll plaza costs us more as I have to drive more than 50km ( one way) to get it for free

Nice but how can we top-up the fastag? Via fastag app or we have flexibility to connect a wallet (like in Paytm).
Direct debit from your bank account or else load balance in NHAI wallet.
You have option to choose the bank.
Also if you buy from paytm then it will debit from paytm wallet……
Even on some toll plazas paytm gives fastag free of cost. Pay 150 and u will receive 150 cashback in your paytm wallet.
There’s is a serious security flaw in this system which i believe needs to be answered. What if someone gets hold of rfid scanner and is able to get money transferred. Rfid is just like a debit card with no password required.
where would the money be transferred? can he use it for shopping like debit/credit card?
Only thing which i don’t get is what if someone uses this tag on different vehicle, how toll people know. Thats the only problem(?)
Kotak Bank is giving tag for free, but charging security deposit of Rs. 200 and loading 200 so total 400
Download “My FASTag” app, activate your FASTag from “My FASTag” app & load money through UPI.
You can link any UPI app and from the app, just put your vehicle number and you can load the value into the FASTag.
you can also recharge fastag using any UPI app (Phonepe UPI, GooglePay, Paytm UPI, BHIM UPI etc), just type “netc.yourCarRegNo@respectivebank”, (for example: netc.MH01AL5469@HDFCBANK)

The official release said that all lanes (except one lane on each side) in fee plazas shall be declared as FASTag lane from December 15. “It has now been decided that charging of double user fee from vehicles which enter FASTag lane without the tag will start from December 15 instead of December 1,” the ministry’s statement said.
2 different Ways to Get Paytm Fastag:-
1. Buy Paytm Fastag from Paytm online:
- NOT FREE
- Cost Rs. 250 Refundable Security + 150 Paytm Fastag Balance
2. Get Paytm Fastag Offline from Toll Plaza/Paytm POS
- FREE i.e. No Security Deposit
- Cost Rs. 150 to be uploaded into Paytm Fastag Balance

I have received messages about tag issued successfully from hdfc and axis for two different vehicles, but they haven’t provided details of how and when will I get the physical fastag sticker. How long does it take to get the sticker ?
Can someone please help me in clearing this confusion ?
..and haven’t received any message from paytm for registration of the third vehicle, though it shows Rs 150 in my paytm fastag account. It is really quite confusing.
