Yes, they did. But that hardly matters as OP phones are phenomenally faster that other flagship Android phones as they don’t tweak the hell out of the UI and make it slow. End of day their phones work smooth irrespective of what the geekbench scores turn out to be.
By the way, they didn’t cheat on the specs. What they did was to ran the processors at their fastest speed on geekbench app by default than what it would run on a day to day operation, simply put – overclocking.

Now LG G6 looks like a better deal at 39,000rs and if we get any bank offers in the near future, then it will be great.
G6 has one of the worst battery life in all of the flagships available today.
I rejected G6 from my list due to battery and now waiting for Galaxy S7 Edge price to drop around 35k.
1+5 disappointed me by skipping OIS in the camera and I think it is the only flagship phone without OIS.

One more great alternative to OnePlus 5 is Huawei’s Honor 8 Pro. Rumours claim it could cost below OP5’s price and at aorund 30k only.
It’s better than OP5 specs wise as it has higher resolution screen, larger battery, waterproofing, better camera (read in few reviews), Dual hybrid sim and IR blaster. #TimeToSettle.
If they really launch it at 30k it’s going to be a pain for OP5 in India.

OP 5 is good device but not great like the hype suggests. The dual camera system they hyped so much is a hit and miss most times.If Honor 8 Pro is around 33k then OP5 is f***ed. With 128Gb storage, higher resolution, water resistant, Everything is almost higher in honor 8 pro. Honors dual camera systems are good with practical purpose and results. OP5 is just a iterative upgrade over OP3T. Just like OP3T is a hardware upgrade over OP3.
OP5 is going to face same fate as OP2 due to overhyping .
It’s not gonna be as bad, by itself, it’s actually a great phone. But the competition is gonna get real starting July 6th.
Custom roms are over rated, if it’s not based on stock rom then you lose all the proprietary features of the phone, namely, camera quality. If you didn’t want camera quality, might as well go for a Lenovo z2 plus when it dropped for 9999.
Honor 8 pro is 184 gms and OP5 is 153 gms, 31 gms weight difference does matters in day to day usage.
Almost everybody uses mobiles with back cover,tampered glass etc. So once all of it put on the weight is around 300 to 400g for all mobiles now a days. So it dont actually make a difference. Also Honor 8 pro has 700mah extra battery to get u through the day. 90% of the time we r charging phones in office daily. so the extra 700 mah will come handy

Beware about buying OP5 guys. There is some serious scrolling pblm is there in lot of mobiles. “Jelly Scrolling effort” When u scrolls down or up the letters will go like jelly and get attached again. One plus just now issued a statement Jelly scrolling is natural effect. So they dont know what is causing this issue and they will not fix it. Also wifi issues are there. So before investing 33k wait for some proper reviews

After 3 days use i have no issue found in my two phones… Happy with op5.. 
It’s not happening in all the phones. Also you might not notice it if u r not looking carefully. But if it’s there then it’s so annoying you will regret purchasing it. When u scroll the letters some kind of elastic effort like jelly and re attach again. U will mostly notice in website browsing..

Key Points:
- The display panel is mounted in an inverted orientation on the OnePlus 5. This is NOT a mistake on the part of OnePlus. There is no manufacturing defect, Quality Assurance mistake, or software bug involved. Instead, the display panel being inverted is a deliberate engineering decision done for reasons we were not given.
- It is not yet proven that inverting the display panel is the exact cause of the jelly scrolling effect, but the two do seem to be correlated.
- Not every OnePlus 5 owner will encounter this issue or notice it happening. It is unknown how many OnePlus 5 owners will ever encounter this, though OnePlus assures that it is only a small number of users.
- This issue can be replicated on many other smartphones by rotating the screen 180 degrees and scrolling – however, this is not true for every phone.
- Per OnePlus, an OTA update cannot resolve this issue. Sending your phone in for replacement also does not guarantee it will be fixed. If you are experiencing this issue, it is unclear what can be done about the issue if anything can be done.
