Best part of this band is that it doesn’t require any other dongle for charging… Simple put it in any usb drive and charge it on the go… So no extra carriage…

does this need any other id to be created or can we use google account?
Creating a Huawei ID is mandatory at least for syncing your data. Also it requires installation of HMS Core. Manual backup of data say in Titanium Backup, if rooted, doesn’t work as after flashing a new ROM the Android ID changes. Also it tracks the IMEI to map the band and data to a particular device. You can sync data to Google Fit or MyFitness Pal apps. I think you should be able to use the band w/o creating an account but just sync won’t work. Lemme check and update.
Edit: I can’t see anyway to bypass the screen where the Huawei Health app asks for login credentials. This change was enforced in the last few months.
What is the difference in features between band 4 and band 5?
Can anybody confirm that it has spo2 (oxymeter) .
Description shows it has but some reviews on you tube says it doesn’t have spo2

I was thinking to buy this band, instead of purchasing stand alone oxymeters available in the market from 400 rs to 1500 rs.
Any idea if it can replace need of standalone oxymeters, in terms of accuracy?

What are major diff between band 4 and band 5
i had a honor band 4 which is similar to this. used it for a year before upgrading to a honor watch. the price for this is real good if it is your first watch and u donot want to spend so much on a smartband. saw people complaining about the band being useless. actually it has been the opposite for me and it has only motivated me to exercise and healthy and app or call notifications are additional benefit and they work real good

I think its a decent product in this price range. The best feature is it can track day time naps which mi band cannot.

Guys, if anyone have received the Huawei Band, Please let me know how it is ?.
Received mine about an hour back.
Setting it up, going through the second update, and one more to go.
So far, so good.
Mini review:
- Looks plain and simple, no frills. Doesn’t look cheap.
- There were 5 updates, each taking around 15 mins, one after another.
- Notifications, bpm, spo2 are all working alright.
- Vibration for notifications is good.
- incoming Call notification works well, but whatsapp call is not getting notified.
- notifications from other apps (including outlook), when enabled, work fine.
- Display resolution could have been better & crispier
- Very easy to use
- Strap is comfortable and can fit any wrist sizes

Received mine as well. So far so good. Quality of strap is quite good and is very comfortable to wear. The only downside is tft display which is good but not as good as an amoled display.
