When water goes inside the purifier storage tank, the air inside has to come out. So in every tank there will be a hole or some gap to let the air come out. No tank is fully sealed. From this gap, ant, spider etc. will come inside and contaminate the water. After realizing this I removed the tank from my Kent purifier and store water directly in bottles. Nobody else will tell you this fact.

Instead of that, couldn't you put some fine mesh on that hole?

FYI:: After a lot of research of water purifier recently I found out that the best water purifiers are of LG having a stainless steel tank to hold water instead of plastic tanks. And also it has only necessary stages required to filter the water and not just increased number of filter stages to show more stages in information for which people fall victim to.
Finally I purchased one of aqua guard sure 6L one which has only required 3 stages RO , UV and UF.
I couldn't buy LG one because of budget issue and that time one was for 16k and other for 20k.
This is just for your understanding and knowledge and I am not promoting any brand but telling experience to the DD community.
