This is better than other 999 one. I have that 999 model which i bought last year for 999. Price wise this one is good but quality is not that good specially on night vision but 3mp cameras doing good job. You must need to use memory card else you will get blurry photos not even you recognise anyone. Moving objects not works great. I also use imou Ranger new model which has good clarity.

Is this for indoor or outdoor? I want to install one in verandah to monitor our main gate esp at night. Will it serve its purpose?

To keep a lookout towards our main gate throughout the night.
We'll keep it one part of verandah where rain water doesn't fall but will be subjected to dust from roads and vehicles.
