Hardly any difference between M31 and M31s (Oh..yeah, M31s has punch-hole display)..at least based on raw specs!
punch hole camera, larger display, side mounted fp sensor, 25W charger, some camera tweeks may be.
Should have given a 64+6 option as well.
And should have been priced 2K less.
Motorola Fusion Plus is a better option
If they had priced it 2K lesser..then M31s will clash with M31 (which brand particular buyers* are getting happily for 17.5k // 6+128//)
Also the price difference might play its part in justifying/differentiating the upgrade with its predecessor

M31S Has Sony IMX682 vs M31 has samsung gw1 sensor.
Thats a big upgrade in terms of camera if image processing is good.
Also it might be the first phone in India with sony IMX682 image sensor.

Same 9611 exynos on all these models.. why price it at 20000 for the same crap? Samsung needed to launch this 20000 phone with an SDM 720g or better still a SDM 765

Samsung had such a nice opportunity to cash on the current anti-China sentiments. They could have easily included a Snapdragon 720G/730 with this, and could have garnered better sales. People would have paid the premium for their Amoleds and Brand value. But they keep dishing out the same pathetic Exynos shitts again and again.
They had a decent option in the form of M21, and instead of keep selling it at that decent price, they chose to increase the price trying to squeeze every bit of profit. A person compromising with the processor at 12k wont necessarily do so at 14k for the same thing. When there are far better options available in the similar range.
Samsung needs to start offering Snapdragon in the Indian market also. While not pricing them pathetically at the same time. Their exynos shitts suck, and thats a fact.
Very true. Instead of providing us better options they are trying to garner more profits by launching inferior quality products at high prices. They are forcing people to go with chinese options.
Same bawasir processor in 14k, 17.5k and now 19.5k 
My mom uses an M30s and this processor really sucks. She doesn’t even use it for heavy tasks but then also the phone is sluggish! It’s been 10 months and the phone is starting to show it’s age. On the contrary, I own a year old K20 Pro and 3 year old iPhone XS and both the things are still as blazing fast. Processor does matter. UFS storage and RAM does improve things but you can’t really do away with the processor. Don’t compromise. My sister was skeptical as she had to get a new phone. She wanted to wait for M31s but the processor was a turn off and ultimately I got her Poco X2. Slightly overpriced rn but still a good value nonetheless.

It has become strategy of all brands to introduce phone in all the price ranges with some slight changes in features or the specs.
But at the end it confuses buyer which one to go for.

Poor choice of processor by Samsung. It seems those sitting in Korea & taking decisions are oblivious of market situation in India or they simply don’t care. Unfortunately Asus has stopped launching mid range phones otherwise they would have cashed in on current sentiment.
Yes their Zenfone series of office was quite decent. Though I was never a fan of it’s styling.
So I am wondering now, what is there in a51 to make it priced higher compared to m31s, in fact m31s is superior in specs.
a series is supposed to be sleeker (hence the smaller battery) has better build usually, in-display fp sensor, nfc for samsung pay, knox security, edge panel …m series is also missing some sw features

I dont know why people r shouting for Samsung processor. I m using M30s since it launch and its running smoothley. No issue at all. Though i m not heavy gamer, this mobile performs very good on day to day basis.
The price increase in all mobiles is due to GST hike. We should not compare Samsung with Chinese brands.
