Yes, it was good offer when free. We got 3 scratch guard in package of rs 179, that was free. They sent 2 extra scratch guards for practicing…They sent a cloth also…

1 is for practice and 2 are real ones. Just in case.

Unless you’ve scratched the underside of the screen protector or folded and deformed it, simple dust and fingerprints can be removed by washing the ‘sticky’ side with mild soapy water and running it under continuously flowing water to rinse it off. Dry it in a dust free environment (it can be applied with certain precautions while it’s wet too) and try reapplying it. Repeat as many times as necessary, till you’re an expert at applying screen protectors

You first need to download Google Launcher from play store after downloading it might ask for downloading additional apps. After installing additional apps go to apps in Setting, click on the default app on the middle bottom of the screen, Go to launcher then select Google Now Launcher and you will get the message.

I’ve had a few instances where a tiny dust fiber got trapped while applying the screen guard. This creates a gap between screen and screen guard which traps a bubble you can’t squeegee out. Washing it always does the trick. Soapy water makes the static cling disappear, it feels as smooth as any regular wet plastic sheet. Dust dimply glides off
I apply it while it’s still wet, and squeegee out the excess water (requires care to ensure droplets of water don’t reach the edges of the device and creep into the seams).
I’ve always applied screen guards myself, never asked anyone else to help me out.

Any workaround for the Music playback problem?

My music player stops when I launch the browser or start the camera, I can manage the over heating issue as I am not a heavy gamer but not this. Anyone else facing this issue? I also tried another music player but the same thing happens.

Try this, many of the bugs in my mi3 got resolved with this.

1. Switch off and switch on recovery mode. Check Google how to reboot in recovery mode. Usually you press volume up button while powering on. You Release power button when logo comes but keep on holding volume button till you see some icons.

2. Select language etc and then go to wipe.

3. I don’t know about your phone but in mi3 there were 3 options wipe cache, wipe data and wipe SD card.

4. Please select wipe cache. Do not wipe anything else.

5. In my phone, it always get struck at 98% and this is common for many mi3. Sometimes it takes even 5-10min to go to 100% from 98%. Just have patience in case if it get struck at some percentage level.

6. If it doesn’t work then I would suggest you complete format. Beware, do not complete format any xiaomi phone without preparing. After hard reset, you’ll loose all Google services like gmail, YouTube etc.

7. If wiping cache doesn’t resolve the issue, then go to xiaomi Web page and download stable rom for your phone of India edition on computer and copy it in phone. My mi3 always gave error while connecting to computer so I had to use OTG pendrive to copy data into phone. So I just want to make sure you have some method available to copy data from computer to phone via cable, memory card or OTG pendrive etc.

After that, take the back up of your phone and get back to me to guide you on how Complete format.
Please do not format or wipe anything other than cache if you are not aware of what you are doing.

Tushar bro very detailed guide, it will stop any novice to brick his phone. 98% to 100% process takes some time and after boot, it also takes a while to load apps for the first time.

in my not able to switch on the wifi. it stucks at switching on, never turns up the wifi. contacted the xiaomi cc followed some steps like wipe data and reset nothing helpex, placed a request for replacement. any idea on this guys?

Since you have already tried hard reset, so probably it’s defective unit instead of bug. You have raise replacement request, so wait for it is the only best thing you can do as of now.
