also. The girl who bought mi pad posted it at 4:05 , I seen her friend list & most of her fb friends were from foreign ( all were engineers, I guess) . All these indicating that she might be xiaomi employee

4:05 is impossible. People would have looted before to that. Also, check the FB profile of the people who are posting the screenshots. I have verified couple of them, they are either new profiles or low traction profiles (like 1 like, comment etc.)

Personally, I feel taken down by Xiaomi brand/company. I feel Paytm is far better with 100% cashback even if they are not high end products. Indian e-comm rocks

I think they must giving those products on sale which where returned by customers
so they are no giving any warranty support

It all depends upon one’s requirements. I will try to give a brief comparison between the two.

Mi4
- Better design with the look and feel of a premium device.
- Mi4 has a faster processor and 3GB RAM. So if gaming is the purpose, go for it.
- Mi4 has a slightly better camera. Mi4i’s is almost as good.

Mi4i
- Mi4i’s display has a slight edge over the Mi4. But not too much of a difference.
- Mi4i is comes with Dual Sim slots. Mi4 has only a single SIM slot.
- Mi4i comes with a Dual SIM 4G support whereas Mi4 is restricted to 3G.

In short, Mi4 is a device that performs almost as good as the flagships with a flagship worthy design. Mi4i manages to do almost all that the Mi4 can do, except may be in the gaming department, and offers 4G and Dual SIM capability.

in BBD , mi4i was sold @ 8.5k after bank discount. all color choices were available. that was the best deal for one good mobile. thin, light weight, fhd, big battery, miui , updates are few things that should also be noted down.

a phone without update is like old car (but i wanted to use some other word)

OnePlus One performed significantly better than any Xiaomi product. Lumia 730 did significantly better than even OnePlus One. These are my findings after comparing carefully, side by side in different low light conditions.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere but let me repeat – Amazon is sending mobiles/tabs and maybe other electronics in just poly bags. If you receive it damaged, and even if they offer to refund, you will loose the discounts. Go thru the dedicated thread I’ve created about this, where hordes of other people are complaining of the same thing, if interested.

True that! I got an iPhone 6 for myself just a few days ago with box little bit pressed inward on one corner because of improper packing. Yet I decided to retain it because that seller was out of stock and the only option was to get a refund and the price right now is much higher than the deal I got.

I posted this to help out a few friends who were confused in picking between Mi4 and Mi4i. I hadn’t mentioned anywhere that both of the cameras were excellent. May be not as good as the One Plus One in low light, but the price difference between them is pretty wide enough to justify that. At the respective price points, both of these offer pretty good image quality, especially in daylight conditions. And after using a Windows phone for quite a while and switching back to android, I guess the trade-off is well worth considering the flexibility of Windows is not that great and it’s the OS that we interact with the most than using the camera.

Yes, if you consider the price difference, in the last sale, then its worth it. But when Mi4 was released, there was hardly any price difference compared to the OnePlus One. At that time it didn’t make sense. Now it does. Also, IMO CM trumps MIUI. We all know its kinda more bloated. But what really pissed me off since MIUI 6 is that they just pull out very important features, like for eg. they removed permission controls for hiding device ID amongst other things. Few other irritants.

As for Windows Vs Android, true Android is more flexible. But since Lollypop, Android is really going in the wrong direction in many fronts. The looks are all screwed up with garish white background everywhere, with red and other bright colors. Absolutely hate the look. Looks like a kid’s phone now. Just added some animations, which are alright but they have come at the cost of other aesthetics and ease of use/efficiency. Also Google seems to be displaying surprising apathy to even serious bugs. They have almost bricked their Nexus 7 1st gen tab with Lollipop update and don’t seem to be doing anything about it. Instead they are now giving up on it saying they wont support it anymore. Now Marshmallow has a very serious WiFi bug which drains battery rapidly. This is besides numerous other lesser bugs. One wonders if they really believe in the concept of software testing at all. In a way, I’m glad Xiaomi hasn’t upgraded most of its devices beyond Kitkat.
