My nickname is TINU… N yes, I’m a girl 👩🏻 When I was small I never had a prob with the name, but as I grew up, I found out that it’s a boy’s name n I have a guy cousin with the same name. I have a kid now n I’m still called as Tinu by everyone. I always complain my mom – “Tina hi rakh dete. SRK ki heroine ka naam tha in KKHH..” N she always ignores. 😞

My nickname by mom is kosu-guti 
It’s a Lower Assam’s Assamese dialect. Kosu is the Assamese name for Elephant-ear and cocoyam plants . This plant if you don’t know how to handle it and worst, if you don’t know how to cook then it causes great discomfort/burns.
Guti means seed. It’s usuage is like – junior/tyke/squirt/brat.
So yeah, that’s the meaning behind my nickname – I was way worse then Dennis the menace in my childhood
