It’s been a while now since they have stopped putting compass in their phones.
Although this lack won’t bother much mostly people need it while navigation where the gps also work fine doing its work with a very little lag.

I know bro I own one moto.
In real life experience it’s not that noticeable while in vehicles you will barely experience that.

Have they offered a reasoning for omitting compass in most of their phones? This has been going on for a while.

No they haven’t but definitely it’s to save some space, time and money.
As it’s just lying there without any use except while navigating which can also be done without it.

Good part is you can throw it at your boss’s face if you ever get frustrated in the office.

NFC is missing in G40. And front camera here is 32MP Vs 16MP in G40.

This comes with a Hybrid sim slot as well so not a true dual sim phone, keep that in mind too.

It’s better to go with G40 as it is VFM and also NFC usage is still in nascent stage in India. Literally, I didn’t use NFC single time also in my 3 years of usage other than testing.

Well i am using Moto Fusion+ and it has similar weight , G60 comes with a bigger screen and better specs and battery. So no issues also Motorola is much reliable than the Redmi and Realme and other crappy phones that are being sold currently in the market. Stock Android experience is awesome and MI OS can’t match up to that.
Even with Fusion + the phone picked up post first few sales and was high in demand. Expecting the same to happen for G60 & G40 to.
At 16500, do not think there is a better phone in that price range. Did not go for G40 as i wanted better storage and specs.

I’m also using the Fusion and while the stock Android experience is just fine (it’s not Pixel, the optimisation could have been much better) and obviously miles ahead than any cheena company UI, the weight is insane and hands hurt after holding the device for few mins. Also, even this new phones don’t included the most basic yet important component- A BLOODY COMPASS. But at this range it’s true that no other vanilla Android phones are available but that weight should be kept in mind at all times.
