Why is everyone complaining about the nord being overpriced.Can anyone show me one 5g enabled phone from a proper brand in the same price range?
The processor isnt that bad at all.
Samsung is selling much inferior specced phones for a much higher price.
Iam pretty much happy with what is being offered by oneplus.

Is this really good as people expect it to be, I was checking the processors with my 3 yr old OnePlus 6 , the Nord 765g processor score is almost 50% less than than the 845 processor in my 3 yr old OnePlus 6. So people who need lot more processing capabilities should think twice before buying the Nord

This phone is a Huge disappointment. POCO X2 has a better camera than this being 10k cheaper and a slightly slower chipset.
People really expected NORD to be a flagship killer when oneplus itself is launching flagships lol. The front too looks bad with dual punch holes. They should have only kept a single wide angle front sensor. Price for 128 gb should have been 20k assuming a premium of 3-4k over POCO x2 for the oneplus brand image. Even the K20 pro is cheaper in sales and it has last gen flagship, no punch holes, great cameras. lol
But clearly Oneplus thinks it has a huge brand value and people will buy whatever shit they sell with artificial hype.. I suggest people dont buy this phone and answer Oneplus with their wallet.

We expect VFM from Oneplus. If im buying chinese maal, I want it cheap or I’ll prefer Samsung, apple, or even xiaomi. My Oneplus 3T 3 yrs later has issues with screen. The screen glue has come off without doing anything. Its a common issue too if you search online. This is Oneplu’s “premium” quality. lo

TLDR – Buy some other phone. Once the sales fall, oneplus will be forced to go back to not looting customers.

Looks like OnePlus has appointed few representatives in DD to convince people how good a buy OP Nord is.

I feel they have purposefully have downgraded the chipset, because they knew this would be the big factor between their flagship series. They could have easily included a 800 series chipset, but they didn’t.

They had to be very careful, if they had included all the things in this phone, they knew they would be destroying their own flagship lineup. They would end up with what they had started.

I feel they have purposely kept the price little bit on the higher side because of the fact that if they had kept the price for lets says 22-23k, it would’ve been a no brainer and everyone would’ve gone for it which would result in Realme X3 series flopping badly. Now with a pricing similar to X3 series people are confused and there is a healthy competition between Realme X3, Realme X2 Pro and Nord. Which has resulted in a win win situation for BBK electronics.

I just saw FAQ video of NORD on tech radar and he said , oneplus will release all the information regarding pre-booked customers and invite rewards.

Very overpriced phone considering a “Mid Ranger” I dont know where smartphone market is going even chinese companies like oneplus which are supposed to give vfm.This way we would expect flagships to go over 2 lakh price range.Why spend so much on smartphone when even phones in 12k-18k do the job well enough.

1+ is charging atleast 3k to 5k more for their brand goodwill they have managed to build up thus far
& the fact that they are focusing more on retail expansion and marketing also might have driven the price up.

Many are inclined to pay this premium due to OxygenOS (which is very good but not without flaws eg. delayed notifications on some apps etc.) and also bcoz w.r.t. clean Android interface:
Pixel – is highly overpriced in India and comes with issues like RAM management, poor battery and build issues like that of display too!
Samsung – with OneUI is trying to pull users in its own ecosystem away from stock android experience (also less and delayed updates and more bloat apps and lag issues in longterm)
Mi – Popular at lower prices but ads, permissions issues and MiUi not being popular with stock android enthusiasts!
Realme/Oppo – ColorOS has improved with 7.0 BUT still not there yet to dethrone OxygenOS, also these phones feel more mass market rather than upmarket to most people bcoz of array of phones starting from 4-digit price!

I think with upcoming SD875 chip being much more powerful than SD865 processor, prices of flagships are going to rise atleast 15% to 20% higher.

Thus 800 series flagship killers may have long gone towards the end of 1+7 and the new dawn of “flagship killers” might be coming up with 700 series eg. 775G etc. bcoz with price to performance value the law of diminishing returns will kick in and most will then rather settle for 7XX chip and look for other features being good for an all round package!

NORD is more catering to a niche of those who aspire 1+ phone ONLY and disappointed that 1+8 is much beyond their budget!
