No offence to op, but here are my 2 bits. Or maybe 4…
I think its incorrect & too immature to think of BMS offer as actual cash, even though its cashback, or consider it as a equal monetary benefit as ‘bank interest’. Because if we go by that logic, it would be better to get a basic ICICI account & take Coral or Rubyx debit card.
For Coral card, total benefit will be (assuming you maintained ₹25k balance):
₹500 (₹250 off twice) x 12 + ₹1000 (4% of ₹25000) – ₹589 (yearly fee) = ₹6411, equivalent to ~25% interest rate! 
For Rubyx card (assuming you maintained ₹25k balance):
₹600 (₹300 off twice) x 12 + ₹1000 (4% of ₹25000) – ₹1179/₹885 (1st year fee/2nd year onwards) = ₹7021/₹7315, equivalent to ~28-29% interest rate!!
Yes, I know there are tradeoffs, like IDFC card offer is applicable on even 1 ticket & ICICI offer would be on 2 tickets, but imo these extra offers can balance that:
+ Extra interest amount in ICICI since bms offer is instant off, so that money stays in your account & earns interest, although small amount. But you lose out on that in cashback offers.
+ You also get Airport lounges in ICICI cards.
+ Not just bookmyshow, you also get bogo on inox & carnival cinemas (both offline also!), which I’ve not even counted.
+ You don’t actually need to maintain ₹25k balance as well, since you can take a privilege account for ₹10k balance as well and that would be a huge jump on overall interest rate! I mean take a coral card + maintain 10k balance, and get (theoretically) overall interest amount of:
₹6000 (bms) + ₹6000 (carnival) + ₹3000 (inox) + ₹400 (actual interest) – ₹589 (card fee) = ₹14811, so an overall maximum possible interest rate of whopping ~148%! 
But we know it doesn’t work like that, right? Plus who would watch 5 movies every month anyway?
PS: I don’t have any special love for ICICI, its just an example, you may find such other banks offering discounts on what you might actually need apart from movies. But my point is bookmyshow offer can’t be equated to actual interest.
+ Don’t open a new bank account just for the sake of 250 amazon voucher.
+ Remember, every additional bank account is an overhead while filing ITR.
+ But if you’re really looking for 6% bank interest rate and 8.5% FD rates, go for it. But not for these referrals or 250 amazon vouchers.

only for 250 voucher if you are opening account with mini balance 25000 and it is not amb…. amb is 25000×30= 7,50000 so don’t confuse saying that 25000 amb
all who are opening a account will be charged a lot means about 3k in month be careful
where you got this information regarding AMB and Min balance , this account should be opened with 25k and must be maintained to avoid any penalty , how you are calculating amb as 25000 × 30 = 7500000
