As a long time pixel 6 user, I would say this is quite good VFM. Dont compare with earlier pixel 4a / 5 etc, the processor is quite fast and real world usage is extremely snappy. Ping for any pixel 6 specific questions, happy to go deeper into any aspect.

Apart from all of this, don't forget ultra pathetic service of Google in India. There is virtually no service even if phone is in warranty. Don't know if anything has improved recently, but during 4a times, people did face horrors.

Only problem on google phones is lack of service center. Everything on email. You need to courier your phone for minor repairs. It takes weeks to solve without any feedback of what stage your phone is in.

Tensor needs more time. Google need to optimize it better with software. Reminds me of Samsung old OS during s4 days before oneui.. Initially it will be fast but as it ages that software wasn't optimized to perfection and so it lags like hell.

They need to design the SoC themselves or get hold some competent comany to do it on their behalf. Definitely NOT Samsung LSI whose woeful track record spans close to a decade now. It's practically a rebadged Exynos with a few tweaks and extras. Even the (awful) DVFS implementation was pretty much identical to the last flagship Exynos as Anandtech found in their deep dive.
