As far I know Sony panel has grate value par price next placed Sharp panel (not only TV, phone, it is for all lcd panels ). Even Sony, “ R” series TV is nothing to prise, rest all series are conciderble to exllent, nothing matches to their internal build quality with longlife. Because of R&D Sony far ahead of all other brands, nothing matched with Sony sound quality in TV range or Xperia phone. Motorola phone signals are grate reception similarly Sony is the best for picture and sound. Samsung is trying to attain perfection with half cost. My 10 year old Sony entrey level smart TV 21k is 20% better in picture and 40% better in sound than Samsung 14k smart new 2020 TV. LG and Thomson panel also excellent once upon, now nothing improved. Don’t think I favor to Sony their software is not grate, some times they do not support many of your video formats. Fringe sony limit low/mid TV with hardware upgrade.
If not Sony, buy any brand tv with A+ panel with good " UPSCALING SOFTWARE " and sound bar inbuild woofer. Nothing you miss! difference between brands are tech compitaters not for common people hardly fiend any little.
Sad thing is Chinese dependent brands are not consistent on hardware or software, you need lot research and first hand experience before buy.
TV or AC do not look cheep price players for the sake of mental peace. Pay premium for it.

Bad upscaling software no use of TV.
HD/Full HD nothing to care, go for 4k if you have money to pay more than 1k per month internet connection. Otherwise nothing you loose in HD TV watching at present day streaming content.
Before buying online; go to TV shop with pendrive having downloaded SD and 4k sample content available on YouTube to test TV. Then decide 🤔
