I have just confirmed from TOSHIBA cc and they told me that the product Serial Number should match with the product manufactured in their Manufacturing unit, else they will not provide the warranty..

Received LED in proper condition. Toshiba guy came and he did unpacking and installation. Everything seems normal as of now.

Hope others get refund/replacement soon and I don’t get any problem near future!

Regarding warranty, Toshiba guy signed warranty card but said that for warranty you need to register complaint online.

Anyway, there is no way those idiot going to know whether I bought online or offline because Invoice only have seller name and no mention of shopclues.

Now i’m getting angry over these people. They called me each day for last 3 days saying we are arranging reverse pickup. Asking me again and again “you want to send it back right, we will arrange pick up and courier partner will contact you”. They had promised on first day, that the product will be picked up the next day.

These a$$%s are testing my patience now. Thinking of opening a credit card dispute case.

I can understand the pain but Just be cool bro.. Don’t show any of angry on their CC. It will cause in the negative way too. Just wait for those 6-7 business days and then fire on them. Even we need to adjust with their reverse pick-up policies to get it done. I had the similar problem with rediff and maniac store too.. If we start firing you will end up loosing everything.. Hope you will get it from shopclues.

And one more thing. send your queries on shopclues facebook page you will get a better response. I did the same in the past and got the refund, of course for small items

Altruist bro, after reading this I really feel for you. You are one of the old dimers of this community and getting cheated in the face really hurts. I too want a good TV for some discount and had initially thought of going for this deal, but knowing that it is shopclues I stayed back. Maybe in hindsight it was a right decision as I have no patience to deal with imbeciles from such websites.

Having said that, my sincere suggestion to you is this. Do what is mentioned in the policy of ‘Shit without a clue’. Once the exact number of days as mentioned in the policy have passed and you have done your bit of raising complaint, talking to retards on phone etc., just go ahead and initiate the CC chargeback. I am telling you need to act tough with frauds like these. Once you raise the chargeback you can also show the proofs of what you received, your conversations with Shitclues and the reason for raising the chargeback with your bank.

This is a fairly big amount and I’m sure your credit card company will help you in this matter.

Hope your pain is resolved at the earliest and you get your money back.

Thanks for support guys. Actually there was one good thing that came out of this. I’m fairly certain they’re (shopclues) monitoring the topic. This thread has woken many people to the risk of buying consumer electronics online. Also, it will wake up these websites if we start posting images and proofs of their malpractices. I’m sure many buyers will think twice from now on before buying TV’s, including me. You are right in saying that I should wait for their deadline as per their own policies. After that, I’ll proceed for credit card dispute case.

I’m sure i’ll get my refund. But just wanted to shake them a little by campaigning and forcing them to handle my issue on priority to provide a resolution well in advance, just to satisfy an unhappy customer. It looked like they’ll do that, when they called that evening and said they’ll pick up tomorrow. Now they’re showing their thick skin again. I was fantasizing that they’ll take my issue up in fast track mode and finish everything within a week including refund so that i can report it here and they get some brownies.

Update: Finally they did reverse pick-up. Now i don’t have to file a CC dispute case. Hope they quickly process refund now. There is a chance of replacement now.

Anyways, i’ll refuse replacement and ask for refund because of the horrible experience.

Shopclues ke sellers ka toh kya kehna, one of the seller from punjab resell me the item(mobile star pro). He sent me the invoice of WS Retail(flipkart) edited on my name with order no. of shopclues. Shot a complaint a week ago but still no reply. Also the mobile i got was not sealed pack.

Cluebucks are awarded for successful transaction.

Have your bank ever given you reward points for unsuccessful CC transaction? They would even adjust it whenever a situation like that arises in the next bill or the one next to that.

Don’t tell me that you are naive to comprehend the rules.

You can surely fight tooth-n-nail to prove them wrong. But this time they won’t budge.

One thing you can do… Compensate the cluebucks (that you have used) from your pocket & ask for complete return of money to your CC a/c.

They also gave me mental agony, stress and kept my money for nearly a month. No compensation for that? As a buyer facing a grievance, they’re very well justified to not deduct amount for cluesbucks as its not buyer’s fault if they send a damaged product on purpose. I’d very well have gladly kept the TV with me if it was working.

True man, i agree my mistake. I thought the cluesbucks are given on placing an order as loyalty points. Again, my logic is that its not my mistake that they sent me a defective TV. I’d have gladly kept it if it was working!!! None of this would have happened. It seems unethical. Forget i used it, i’m not saying that I want full refund only. Only that this policy is wrong. Now i can be hellbent on a replacement which i paid for in total. You think of what one has gone through also.
