Is this better than default NOKIA router (G140) provided by Airtel for fiber connctions?
This is only a router so it wont replace your complete unit... you will have to use this as an AP along with the Airtel.

wireless range is always subjective it depends on multiple factors, one of the most important being the placement of the router if you are keeping the router at one end expect that the range should reach the other end then kaise chalega

This is my favourite budget router because its supports OpenWRT

I'm using this on OpenWRT since about 2 years. Running a private access point with internet link through a shared wifi (instead of WAN ethernet). Also running services like adblock on the router itself.
Very happy with this setup.
