1 ton 5 star VS 1.5 ton 3 star Split AC comparison
Inverter AC:
1 ton 3 star cost : ~30k
1 ton 5 star cost : ~39k
1.5 ton 3 star cost : ~33k
Suppose Room size : ~110 sqft.
So it is practical to install 1 ton 5 star in room size of 110 sqft but it will cost around 39k. But if we install 1.5 ton 3 star AC with higher cooling capacity & cheaper pricing than 1 ton 5 star , the 1.5 ton 3 star AC will quickly cool the small room & consume less electricity being inverter AC.
Is it really true? Which will be beneficial to install 1 ton 5 star or 1.5 ton 3 star ? Shed some light .
Whats your opinion guys! @bikidas2060 @drupal

Agree. Actually convertible modes are gimmicky I think. Companies also introduced convertible refrigerator which I think no one really use that feature as everyone use deep freezer & normal freezer all the time. Like that convertible AC feature is useless as everyone use either fixed speed mode or auto convertible mode (inverter mode). But it will be only usefull in my mentioned case to run at 50% mode.
1.5 ton 3 star AC will pull more power. 🙂 Just take a look at the specifications.
If it's 110 sq feet 1 ton should serve the purpose.
Understood. Then 1 ton 5 star will be right choice.

You can use 1.5 ton AC at 40, 60 or 80 percent capacity as well. Or at full capacity if quick cooling is needed or when there are more people.
