Who charges convenience fee on transactions, Paytm or Airtel?

Is it possible, i thought convenience fee is the fee charged by the payment gateway/facilitator, that’s why I asked in the first place.
Going by the same logic you gave, Showing only for Paytm recharges of Airtel so i guess Paytm!!!

these are by paytm. not on my wallet.
You might be right… But I guess in coming days every one will charge convince fee as it does includes a operation cost which was being beared by wallet/recharge companies!!!!

they also get commission from operators which is more than enough to cover operational costs when you are handling recharges/bill payments of this size you can get contracts on favourable term with telecom operators which is much more than retailer(shop keepers) earn.
Fees can be implemented but as tariifs are being increased there are less chances of it being possible as people will just stop using wallets and start using respective operator app(unless they also introduce these kind of charges which i think isn’t possible in near future, reason being they pay 3-4%+ to recharge faciliator retailers/distributors/standalone shops etc and they pay much less fess on payment gateway via their own apps and can harvest user data also)
Use amazon pay using gift card save 5%

Airtel no longer gives commission…. I’m pretty sure on this point!
i can do airtel recharge for anyone @ 5%off .

Then people will stop using online method and move back to recharge shops
wese b paytm phonepe se ab recharge krne pe kuch b ni milta. 😀

bro duniya commision pe chlri hai why do you think loss making cred introduced bill pay?
Airtel and vodafone idea gives 0.65% commission, jio gives 0.90% to paytm and other recharge apps through their api. Payment gateway cost for debit card and credit card is high than commission. So, sooner or later all apps implement convenience fees.
To be considered as charge by airtel, all wallet must charge. If only Paytm charging , than charge by Paytm.
Bund bund se hi talab ban jaye 💧💧

I & Economics both disagree with you .
These wallets have the power of economy of scale and this kind of scale can help them to get favorable contracts with operators.Â
Bharatbillpay pays the lowest commission due to many govt entities but i think you are wrong idc.please provide credible source.
Paytm itself operates its payment gateway and gives services to merchants also the usual 2% for credit cards 0.99% for debit cards doesn’t apply to them which applies to any merchant having payment gateway these are industry standard rates and they just have to bear operational cost of payment gateway as it is a single entity under one umbrella of one97com
Even I faced this today, so I recharged via gpay. Damn sure Airtel isn’t charging that coz didn’t have to pay anything extra from Gpay
