After sending port out sms to 1900, got a sms
"UPC cannot be generated for the reasons:(1) There are subsisting contractual obligations with your service provider. Please contact your service provider for further assistance."
Calls to 198 not working. Airtel is not responding on Twitter too.
Please help guys, need to port out this number today
*searched on internet and twitter. At some places its mentioned that it may be due to more than 9 connection on single name. But there are only max 4 connections on single number in this case

And this number ported from jio few months back, so there should not be any requirement for KYC now !
But still if any of these is required than thats clear harassment by Airtel.
Not responding on twitter is ridiculous. While tweeting airtel, tag TRAI as well to check if that makes any difference.
And yes, communicating with nodal officer should help as well.
once checking the TAFCOP portal is a good idea too. Google the same, as ĺùñáťíćś keep changing it ever so often.

Not that it means much, but might generally help trace some unknown numbers which the agencies or companies have crossl8nked against the name.
Data is not updated or reliable at TAFCOP.
I am not sure if scrupulous entity or a retailer naively used any of my numbers as the 'alternative number' on someone else's connection or forged my documents, identify to issue connections to others.
But TAFCOP is actually showing unknown numbers in the list¡¡!! while at the same time.. 𝐍𝐎𝐓 showing some of the numbers which actually ARE in the same name.
Hope it was indeed a new number for you, in the previous instance (Jio) and not someone else's number clandestinely ported to you.
Sometimes the complimentary subscriptions to various third party premium services (Netflix, Prime, others) too might be linked to plans.
But I am pretty sure that the 9 connections limit reached.. argument on the Internet is 'silly' at best.
Like, if you are in an aeroplane in the air and you take out your wallet from your trouser pocket and keep it in your shirt pocket... it DOES NOT affect the onboard weight of the airship.
Likewise, porting "out" of A
into B... does NOT mean that one has one more connection than earlier.
The contract/ relationship with the previous operator ceases to exist.
Internet is a dangerous place, mostly due to such 'self appointed' magi/gurus/ life hack experts.. who in reality spew garbage, of sorts.

Upc naho aa raha hai
It's an old issue. Either you have to re-register your KYC documents or recharge your existing number with a specific amount for this port out to work. Better visit airtel office and ask them.
