Respected dimers! One of my friends is planning to join Amazon CSA voice/non voice work from home job. He is an engineering graduate. He asked me whether it's a good job or not. If anyone knows about the job please share some details on how the job is, what's the daily work routine, salary etc. If you wanna give some other details about the job please feel free to add. Thanks in advance!
(There are other Amazon jobs too like SEPO team work, Payment risk investigation, Seller support etc. if anybody knows about those please review those too)

If directly with Amazon Development Centre India private limited (ADC India), then is it on the roll or 6 months 9 months one year two years renewable contract?

With their vendors, customer support roles pay less.

But within ADC, if above average performance also then within a year or so, one can get numerous cross functional opportunities.

If he is a graduate, he can look for positions that can give at-least 20000 or more. Depends on past experience too.

Are you or your friend aware of the https://amazon.jobs job ID or internal listing's details?

If the person later gives related internal exams and clears them, then easily one can be at group manager level of risk investigation teams too.

Yes, rather than customer care (buyer support, seller support), for a bright person of engineering background
something like warehouse risk investigation or loss prevention officer (detecting frauds internally or with vendors) and buyer side risk investigation type work would less repetitive and less boring.

Customer Service Associate (CSA) jobs are chilled, even boring. Nothing much to learn after 6-8 months.

Work routine is usual.
Whether from office or from home, regular 9 hour shifts.
If team manager or lead pressurises that team's matrices are falling, then sometimes (paid) over-time.

For work from home, they provide a third rate UPS or some amount to buy a UPS.

If for any reason (like power outage or internet issues/ VPN disconnect) one cannot log 9 hours in, then one has to work beyond scheduled shift hours.

All this I am talking of CSA profile; level 2 (entry level). The nine hour shifts have three breaks. Two breaks are small 15-15 minutes and one lunch break of 30 minutes.

If team lead or reporting manager is a prick, then they can bypass you for the exams for other skills.

Over time pay is very lucrative, so don't loose the chance of doing overtime.

If your friend will be going to work for ADC ( Amazon development center ) then his experience will be great. Leave policy is cool. During oct - dec he can even earn good incentive. Call and chat flow is not that high, as they always over staff.

But if he will be going to join tech m / Teleperformance and then will work on amazon project, then pay will be very less as compared to being direct amazon employee and also call/chat volume will be high as they understaff and on the top of that he might be even asked to work from office.

Also, as vendor CS guys don't really have much options/rights so he will be going to listen a lot of abuses from customer. Also, they lack process knowledge. These vendors guys are the only reason why amazon is loosing it's customer centricity. They are pathetic.

ADC CS guys has to cover the mess they create. They have no accountability.

Agree with your points, it's just that now call/chat flow is now mostly high even within Amazon.

Multiple reasons behind that. 🙃
