Lol , offline sellers selling foreign products is fine?
But cant trust on local shopkeeper due to no support after purchase.
Paisa diya fir to aapko time bhi na bataynege and usse pahle chay lassi bhi milega
Yes,true in some cases but you should not generalise this as all five fingers are not equal.😁😁
Shopkeepers should understand that its history, if its not Amazon, it will be something else. Its time they move on. Amazon Flip kart contribute more to our economy than these shopkeepers. Its like rickshaw pullers protesting to ban Autos because they cant compete with Autos. With e-commerce, consumers benefit. Without foreign investment, there will be no Indian economy to feed people and create opportunities. There would be nothing if not for foreign investments. So jo thali me khate ho, usme chedh mat maro.
Without foreign intervention, I don’t think India won’t be self sustainable. If India had followed Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy, we would not be here in this dilema aren’t we? Our own fields would produce stuff to feed our people, our factories would be running to produce our stuff, won’t be that beautiful?
I admit if it starts happening now, maybe things would go real bad today. Maybe I would not see things in my own lifetime. But don’t we do things for our future generations? We just can’t eat up whatever left up in this country and make her dry. 1991 was a wake up call for India. Unfortunately we didn’t learn anything from it. I rarely see a good stock in stock market, which specialises in Indian stuff n owned by Indian people. It hurts me a lot.
The horror is everything is okay for us now. We are going in a wrong path. We are okay with it. I am saying gibberish now. But I ll sleep peacefully at night, I know it I will. I am not blaming anyone, but me. I wish I could bring some solutions though. ☹️
Amazon and Flipkart are getting rid of that corrupt non tax paying middleman and provide employment to many at same time.
Yup, with centralization of things, they get in order. E-commerce centralizes selling and brings taxation to more sellers.
Why those who support amazon Flipkart ban forget these companies employ our people only, from tech engineers to delivery boy. Absence of these i am sure a shopkeeper won’t hire these skilled people.
Only shopkeepers(& some ultra leftist/rightist still scared of East India company in their dreams ) support these bans, majority of the population either don’t care or support fk/amazon.
Blah.blah.
Nothing is going to change
Amazon and Flipkart will exist forever
Most of the local sellers are charging very price compare to online price. yesterday i went to mobile shop and one lady is came for mobile repair. After that she asked about memory card and the shop guy told that buy the original company mam so that no virus will come to your mobile.(i feel OMG.) he showed that scan disk 32 gb memory card and price is 670 rs and immediately i searched in amazon and its price is 340+.After Lady asked about powerbank and he showed some china power bank with 10000mah. He told that price around approx 1400 and he told that he will give some discount. The lady check the powerbank and she said ok. The total bill is came around 2200 (including small repair in the mobile phone) and he made 2000. The lady is paid 2000 and left the shop. I feel he cheated the lady. There is no wrong buying online if we get price is lessthan 50 % compare to the offline.
i went buying water heating rod and asked Price , after showing price in Amazon shopkeeper recommend to buy from online.
Its in news means Rel is behind this. Trust me poor shopkeeper has no power to do this.
Indian market is large enough to accomodate both online and offline retailers. While many shopkeepers work hard and earn their keep many just sit in their chairs and earn by fleecing customers. The absurd amount of margins they keep in stuff like consumer electronics and garments is the reason people are opting online. Add to that they dont even compensate in a different way, zero service after sale + some even charge for delivery of orders. Many of them prey at gullible customers charging them twice the usual price.
Situations may change when e commerce policy comes into existance.
In future, govt can permit fdi in inventory based model business (like alibaba) with 2 conditions.
minimum 51% of business must be owned by Indian & selling of only made in india products.
marketplaces like amazon and flipkart won’t be allowed to give deep discounts, specifically from their in-house companies listed as sellers.
This is to prevent them from directly influencing price of goods/services.

It’s not just the deep discount as complained by the shopkeepers but the customer service and the after-sales support provided by the e-commerce sites (fk and amz) which is a distant thing to match by most of these shopkeepers group.
Even if charged few percentage extra, am sure many like me will prefer the e-commerce sites for the service and support they provide. And if a product is slightly cheaper, it’s a no-brainer which side the customers will go.
It should be done immediately. Even in USA people are moving towards local business
