Amazon refunds as cheque

I don't think they will give a cheque for a simple refund. I guess they are still soft in some corner of their heart.

I have recieved 11K back to source a week back on a non-refundable item. My reason was genuine as what I got is a faulty item. They didn't even take back that item, yet credited refund out of good will.

Was it a COD order? 

Very long time ago

I purchased a phone from homeshop18 (i didn't know if u know about that site)

And they sent faulty one

Had replaced that 4-5 times

On 6th time they sent me cheque of the amount

Phone was spice xlife415

Amount was below 1.5k I think

Its just for COD order, and that too when replacement is also returned /cancelled /RTO 

Nothing new and its not gonna change, just refund in original payment method for prepaid orders

Making refund easier was there strategy to gather crowd at their market place which further became loop hole for shoppers.

No with ample size of crowd  presence they are making it time consuming to fix loopholes.

I remember there is an option to update bank details in case of COD refund.

General Process of Refund when order is COD. very old way. nothing new. hope, you're not a new user

if they give only cheques for every returned order.... then few might stop returning smaller value items..

used to get these from homeshop18...sometimes..for small values...did not even go to bank ...just left them
