Amazon removed credit card payment option for large amount Insurance premium payment
A friend was trying to pay insurance premium of around 60k yesterday but was seeing the msg "sorry this txn does not support credit cards please choose a different payment option" on proceeding so asked me to check from my amazon acc & I also got the same msg. At least amazon is allowing amazon pay balance for now but who knows when it is removed too for large amt premium just like what happened with electricity bill payments so better not to collect too many amazon GVs if purpose is payment of large amt insurance premium.

For me, Amazon app not showing any Credit card for Insurance premium payment but website showing all Credit cards.
Not in my or friend's case, neither app nor website showing cc payment option.
I was gonna pay 60k around insurance through Amazon this month. RIP 🙏
- return if possible
- rest in peace
Why do you need to use CC for insurance payment from Amazon when you can pay insurance directly from insurance website and use CC without any charge?
Because most cards give 1% rewards or even less, whereas Apay Icici card on Amazon gives 2%
Every year I see some of such post, which raises doubts regarding insurance payment. But when my time comes, I am able to successfully pay using card or voucher even for 1L+ amount.
Any other platform allowing LIC insurance premium payment in 2 parts? Or multiple parts? Or even multiple modes (Eg.; GV+CC)?
Yes bro. Jeevan ke saath bhi….Jeevan ke baad bhi😂
Last month itself paid around 60k premium through Apay Gvs. Also earned 3k+ cb in the process
One question @guest_999 , did u buy Amazon Pay GV from Amazon this month using CC?
Last GV I bought from amazon was in Feb that too via upi offer.
Had warned about this in December regards to partial or full removal of CC and apay balance, looks like men at work already...
I always keep AGV for planned usage for the next ~30 days + around 5k. + 2K ASV.
Since ASV is cheaper for me so I tend to utilise it for shopping. Having it in account helps me to do fast orders on mobile app for minor things.
Don’t keep more unless I get some offer of 10%+ on AGV, in that case I might look at 2 months ahead.
I have seen a friend accumulating 50k AGV for LIC payment and LIC getting removed from amazon for a month long, rendering his accumulated GV to turn useless for that purpose.
Also always keep in mind, large sum of money will earn interest over long period or better if invested, which might be way better than the meagre discount received initially.
I am doing/suggesting this only since last year. Open a FD of required amt in any bank for 6-8% interest for 1 year & then pay the insurance premium next year using any best rewarding cc & then pay that cc bill using matured FD amt at that time. No tension/hassle of keep track of GVs/worry about new restrictions etc.
Credit cards are not appearing even for 8k insurance premium.
Any updates? Is CC option showing now?
Can one pay LIC premium through Amazon Pay GC?
1 month back I tried to pay my LIC Premium of 27k with Amazon pay icici redit card to get 2% cashback but unfortunately they have not accepted to pay premium with Amazon pay credit card or with any of the credit card.
Cc option removed even for 1.5k lic bill payment
Every insurance Co allows premium payment thru credit card. So go to the insurance providers website and conclude it..
Use rupay credit card UPI option.
Not every bank supports rupay... I recently applied for hsbc bank CC qnd they denied it saying we only have Visa
Is Any Another Credit Card (Except Amazon Pay ICICI) Offers Cashback of 1% or 1.5% on Insurance? Give Credit Card Names...
Rather than blocking large transaction they should set limit per account as well as per cc card
