Rather than blocking large transaction they should set limit per account as well as per cc card

Why do you need to use CC for insurance payment from Amazon when you can pay insurance directly from insurance website and use CC without any charge?

Because most cards give 1% rewards or even less, whereas Apay Icici card on Amazon gives 2%

Every year I see some of such post, which raises doubts regarding insurance payment. But when my time comes, I am able to successfully pay using card or voucher even for 1L+ amount.

1 lakh is still possible using GV but cc payment is getting restricted it seems. Maybe in a couple of weeks it will be removed for all users.

Any other platform allowing LIC insurance premium payment in 2 parts? Or multiple parts? Or even multiple modes (Eg.; GV+CC)?

Had warned about this in December regards to partial or full removal of CC and apay balance, looks like men at work already...

I always keep AGV for planned usage for the next ~30 days + around 5k. + 2K ASV.

Since ASV is cheaper for me so I tend to utilise it for shopping. Having it in account helps me to do fast orders on mobile app for minor things.

Don’t keep more unless I get some offer of 10%+ on AGV, in that case I might look at 2 months ahead.

I have seen a  friend accumulating 50k AGV for LIC payment and LIC getting removed from amazon for a month long, rendering his accumulated GV to turn useless for that purpose.

Also always keep in mind, large sum of money will earn interest over long period or better if invested, which might be way better than the meagre discount received initially.

I am doing/suggesting this only since last year. Open a FD of required amt in any bank for 6-8% interest for 1 year & then pay the insurance premium next year using any best rewarding cc & then pay that cc bill using matured FD amt at that time. No tension/hassle of keep track of GVs/worry about new restrictions etc.

Any updates? Is CC option showing now?

Can one pay LIC premium through Amazon Pay GC?

Can't check now as premium already paid but gift card balance was available on amazon. Directly on LIC website payment via amazonpay balance option is also there I think but may not be available/working all the time.
