Lol do they reverse fee before cancellation? Or u paid fee and still got ur cards cancelled?

I am using 3 cards of Amex. Gold Charge, Membership Rewards and Smart Earn card.
All are paid cards.
But every year I used ask them reversal of fee and they used to reverse it.
1)Smart Earn Credit Card
I was least concerned about smart earn card cause holding Flipkart Axis and Amazon Pay..
Last week they charged 499 +GST on my Smart Earn Card .
I requested them for reversal , they denied for it then after long pause they told me to spend 10000 then they can reverse fee.
I haven't accepted that offer cause again next year I have to do same thing for reversal so I requested them to cancel the card.
I they cancelled my card.
2) Gold Charge Card.
Today they charged 4500 Annual Fee+ 810 GST.
I asked for reversal they told now days AMEX has stopped all reversal. It's not possible now so I told them to cancel the card.
Again after long pause they offered me 50% reversal of fee or spend 150000 in three months they reverse all fee. I rejected both offers and requested for cancellation. Now my both cards are cancelled.
My concern is only about Gold charge card. Cause it was helping me to achieve 18k reward Target early along with Rewards card.
Does any one faced same issue?

Before calling them i have paid my all outstanding Except annual fee + Gst. After discussion with I requested them to reverse the charges and take the request for cancellation of card. And they closed card quickly.

Last year I have spend more than 2.5 Lacs on Gold charge Card and around 190000 on MRCC Card.

Before diwali they gave me offer for Gold Charge - Spend 100000 in one month and get Amazon/ Flipkart voucher of 4000. I spent maximum on Diwali expenditure and remaining 50/ 60000 amount i spent on adding money in wallet like Mobikwik / Paytm where i got some cashback. So overall it take charges 2.5 to 3% for adding money in wallet and then to bank account. Â
For this i got reward points + last week 4000 as Amazon Gift card voucher.

I also took 3 cards in last 2 months, looking at this trend I don't i will continue theses cards after completing 1year
