When I was a kid, my mother gifted me a cycle for my bday. Now I want to buy one to get back to being fit (If I were to rate my health out of 10, it would be -37).
So, are there any suggestions for me to consider when buying a bicycle? Like which one to buy, or from where, or anything as such. Please help me with the same.

There are lot of YT channels which will help you decide the type of bicycle for fitness.
Offline stores will be good for claiming warranty so I will suggest to look offline.

A pre-owned cycle won't be good, right?
I want a bicycle with dual suspension (both Wheels) or a sturdy monosuspension.

OP, if you live in a housing society there is a good chance dozens of bicycles are lying abandoned in the compound/podium/parking area. Spot a few that are not rusted, find out the owners by speaking to the security guys / asking around and talk to the owners if they are interested in selling it for Rs 500. Take it to your local bicycle shop and ask them to tune it up. They will normally charge Rs 500. I offered to buy an abandoned bicycle in my society and the owner asked me to take it for free since his son had emigrated abroad. I tuned it up for Rs 500 and it runs like butter. I used to have a new bicycle that was stolen when I parked it near a railway station with a poor lock. I learnt my lesson and decided against getting a new bicycle.
Thanks a lot, brother!!
I do live in a society, will try and look for such a bicycle.
