I have a few FDs in Paytm payments bank, after I heard about the current RBI restrictions, I feel like I should withdraw it ASAP.
I'm thinking to purchase gold coins with that as an investment for future.
Thoughts?

Apparently anything in the account is safe and can be withdrawn anytime even after the deadline.
Only buy gold coins if you plan on keeping it for a long time. On short term it doesn't make sense.
