Welcome to “miui ram optimization”. If you think 1.3gb free ram is enough then I have a 6gb ram mobile with around 2.8gb free ram & still sometimes face this issue.
Any phone expert or mi owner - need help!!

Hey experts,
Details – I own a redmi note 9 pro model, 4 gb ram. Miui 12.5.5 (that’s the latest available on this device)
Issue – whenever i switch to new app, the old app restarts.
Ex – m using swiggy at cart page i choose cred, by the time it came back from cred, it shows home page as it’s restarted.
Or i have opened Flipkart and i switched to amazon, when i return back to Flipkart m on homepage , vice versa.
What do i think(being a noob) – it clears ram automatically in background, but don’t know why, while have 1.3gb free.
Solution – that’s what m seeking.
Tia

So what can be done?
Reinstall MIUI to the latest version and try once. It does help optimize your apps.
Alternatively, reinstall app or try to login with different account.
have you changed anything in developers options?

I think, after i scheduled auto restart at night, the problem starts, i even tried to undo that (by switching off auto poweroff/on) but nothing happens..
Issue persist as it is.
In developer option, check if you have enabled Don’t keep activities tab. This option kills every app as soon as you leave them and every time it loads from start. So.if it is enabled try disabling it

That’s turned off by default.
Turn off MIUI Optimization and check. I would have left MIUI alone in my father’s RN10 Pro but for the nonsensical background app killing besides poor RAM management. I didn’t have time to check if there was any benefit or not. Even extremely lightweight apps were being killed despite disabling Battery Optimization (and plugged in). The same apps run continuously for months without ever being killed in a device with just 2GB RAM running AOSP A11. Honestly I am amazed that some folks claim that devices with 2GB RAM can be gainfully used when even AOSP A11 is just about borderline unusable.

How to do that?
U can try one thing when u open the apps minimize the apps first means touch the home button 🔘 on screen now u press the left side button that is which shows what apps are running in background go to that which u don’t want to close don’t enter into it there is three dots or something which will give you to lock that app … So it won’t close automatically
What I do to solve it.
1. Clear cache and ram
2. Open 2 apps. One should be swiggy
3. reach the payment page and then switch to the other app
4. Now go back to swiggy and check if restarted. If yes do the same process again.
5. After 2-3 times after switching between the apps it will not restart. And then there you go.
same prob with me, whenever i have to enter the otp
I was facing with Same problem but solved by removing bloatware through adb command through computer.
After update .. issue comes… Mine redmi note 8 same issue
One solution is that before doing important activity, clear Ram do that no other app is running. Then open only those apps you need, do the needful and clear Ram again. Now use phone as normal. Redmi Note 4 user.

This doesn’t work, i tried it several times, even if there is 2 apps running, it restarts the other one.
Mine redmi 10 prime and facing same issue. I tried to find solution. Not found any so far…m

Seems all redmi phones have this issue… despite of having 4,6,8 gb of ram, u can’t do multitasking
It’s MIUI issue no matter how much free ram available, MIUI kills apps if not activity happening with running apps. You can enable permissions auto run, remove miui optimisation to no restriction. Just hold the apps for 1~2 seconds, go to app info & remove MIUI optimization.
Do let me know if your problem is solved
I am facing a weird issue with Flipkart only. When I click on Flipkart deal link on desidime app, it redirect to Flipkart but keeps showing the loading …. But if I open the FK App directly it works fine. Anyone facing the same issue ?

Ad blocking in some form or the other in all likelihood.

Yes it happens, either u have to click on link twice (first click it will open fk blank page, then go back and click the link again, it will now open this time)
It happend with for few apps on mi max mob. Might be because of lot of apps in mob, ram/proccesor not able to handle loads, when i remove many apps it worked fine
