I tried this today with a premium content. It got stuck at 24% after a couple of minutes and thereafter Hotstar doesn't seem to work in any of my devices despite trying all the usual troubleshooting steps. Hopefully my acc. isn't blacklisted or something.Oh well. Back to pirated streams for today.
Edit: Since I can stream videos fine w/o logging into my acc. in Android it seems some sort of account blacklisting. Pirated streams even at FHD are heavily compressed in spite of bitrates over 120Mbps.
I use IDM on my desktop, which is the best software on the market for downloading videos from any website worldwide. It may occasionally encounter issues on a small number of sites, but it generally works smoothly.

Yt dlp works for free shows 480p only, for android try 'seal' that uses yt dlp so should work
