Any workaround to use IDFC select credit card for LIC insurance payments and get rewards?

I have  high value LIC insurance premium payments coming up. It’s multiple insurance payments about 15k to 25k. All together adds upto about ₹1 lakh.

i initially wanted to use my Axis ace directly on the LIC website. However I am wondering if there is a way to use my IDFC select for these payments and get slightly higher rewards. Idfc select ’s 10x rewards above 20k sort of results in a net reward % greater than 2%.

Also in addition to what others mentioned, you can pay only 5 times per month using amazon pay balance after which only amazon pay UPI would be available

https://www.amazon.in/gp/help/customer/display....

  1. What are the eligible payment methods to pay an insurance premium?

You can make an insurance premium payment through Amazon using your Amazon Pay balance, Net banking, credit/debit card and UPI.

However, from your 6th or higher Insurance premium payment in a calendar month, you can only use Amazon Pay UPI as the payment method.

The limit is 1 Lakh. But in some accounts it is 10k. However, you can buy as many gift cards as you want and add into your account.

You cannot buy more than 10-20k worth amazon gv from amazon using credit card as payment option in a month(limit applies on card basis so no use trying multiple acc either).

I have done it for more than 30k for sure.

Mostly I use only Amex to complete the 1000 point

Maybe not recently, now amazon place a limit on how many GVs one can buy on amazon using cc as payment method in a month.

Gyftr is the solution.

That has limits too depending on bank/card. For example, hdfc gyftr has 5k per card per month per acc amazon GV limit & most likely amex has some limits too.

I am sorry. I wrote Amazon in place of Amex.

Amex limit on gyftr is 25k.

Then it is good but very few ppl have amex cards compared to having hdfc/axis/sbi/icici cards.

Thats because its difficult to get. Most people do not get eligible for Amex. And right now new memberships are stopped.
