I have high value LIC insurance premium payments coming up. It’s multiple insurance payments about 15k to 25k. All together adds upto about ₹1 lakh.
i initially wanted to use my Axis ace directly on the LIC website. However I am wondering if there is a way to use my IDFC select for these payments and get slightly higher rewards. Idfc select ’s 10x rewards above 20k sort of results in a net reward % greater than 2%.

Also in addition to what others mentioned, you can pay only 5 times per month using amazon pay balance after which only amazon pay UPI would be available

What are the eligible payment methods to pay an insurance premium?
You can make an insurance premium payment through Amazon using your Amazon Pay balance, Net banking, credit/debit card and UPI.
However, from your 6th or higher Insurance premium payment in a calendar month, you can only use Amazon Pay UPI as the payment method.

Thanks.. i suppose the MCC code for paying insurance via Amazon reflects as insurance ? or is it not the case ? I want to check this before attempting to use my IDFC Select credit card

That has limits too depending on bank/card. For example, hdfc gyftr has 5k per card per month per acc amazon GV limit & most likely amex has some limits too.
