Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. It’s very common one. Specially with people having acidic stomach. Better to treat this with food and living habits than pathologically. It’s a lifestyle/ food disorder issue. Can be cured fully with a disciplined routine.
I have it too… I have undergone endoscopy b4 3 years and Dr suggested to do surgery..but i didn’t go for it, he prescribed medicines for acidity and no vomit which I took for 3 to 4 months but now I am not using any medicines..following proper diet..but whenever there is change in routine eating habits and not proper sleep then morning vomit happening with me..

GERD can be cured in one week. Just follow Low-carb(zero carb)-high protien and High fat food.
Just stop eating Carb foods (Rice/Wheat/pulse etc).
Eat only veggies(2 curries/day), eggs(two), ghee/olive oil(50 gm), sunflower seeds(3 spoons), pumpkin seeds(3 spoons), almonds (10), pista(5), walnuts(5).
Max two meals a day only. That means, if you take any thing solid (let us say 2 almonds) in between , that is counted as a meal. So max two meals a day. Also, take veg soup or Lemon water, if you feel hungry in between the meals.
Do u also have GERD?
You can have Bananas
Cold milk ( Not Refrigerated )
Yogurt
It will help a lot
Specially cold milk.
But ask your Doctor first as sometimes things may differ from person to person.
I have hyper acidity problem as well, can’t sleep if I eat anything acidic. Firstly stop eating spicy not even green chillies. If use antacids you will have to take that for life. Try ayurveda. I feel better if I drink curd mixed with strawberry and sugar, I make strawberry syrup myself and preserve it for next 6 months in refrigerator. Eating very less or except rice/wheat looks good on paper but I never able to follow it. I have stopped eating all pulses except urad and moong. Try eating moong Dal khichadi one whole day and post result here. If you find any other remedy send it to me as well.

If u only have gerd then it can be managed with medicines easily but since you have associated hiatus hernia better to go ahead and do the surgery

All these food delivery companies are spoiling the whole country health. They give so lucarative offers liked free food 🍲 so you can’t control your urges. Very less people are making food at home.

..adding my 2 cents now….
1..acid in stomach is sometimes related to emotions….when we are depressed it increases….tc of it
2..stop or lessen mastrubation as it contracts the muscles of intestine and increases the pressure on stomach wall…after the release the muscles feel relaxed and releases acid.
3…try to stay in sunshine for 30 everyday….
4…is your naval placement fine or it dislocates sometimes?
5….happiness is the key.
Every one says, follow diet…diet… Let us be practical…. If we had followed the proper diet, we would not get into this illness.
Food is the main reason for many illnesses.
Carbs are not required in the food at all, but we find carbs are tasty and hence start taking more and more.
Stop eating carbs. You will get relieved from many diseases/illnesses.
Regular exercise will not relive you from the life style diseases or illness. But less/no carbs will do… Hence stop taking carbs (rice/wheat, sugar etc) for one week and only eat veg or chicken curries and ghee/coconut (50ml /day). You will see the result.
After that start controlling carbs (make it around 30% of total intake per day) for ever.
Stress is the root cause and good sleep every day 7 hours will resolve this problem..on my extensive research over this issue,no single solution can work for all as different bodies have different ability to digest food but I see people get relief with this diet mentioned in book below

Anybody faced belching, tight throat, and chills as a symptom? @drnikhil143 if you know, could you give some insight into what these symptoms could be a sign of?

Acid reflux is pretty common though severity may differ.
Personal experience – Half a cup of plain cold milk in morning followed by one or two bananas. One can take 3-4 sips of low fat cold milk at regular intervals throughout the day.
Reduce tea/coffee/soda. Avoid tea & coffee on empty stomach.
Don’t overeat, eat smaller meals at regular interval.

Eat curd or probiotics ‘regularly’ for healthy bacteria
Limit intake of alcohol, raw onion, chocolate & spicy foods that may increase acidity.
Elevate your head while sleeping if symptoms worsen at night.
If feasible try eating main meals couple of hours before sleeping.
Even few changes in eating habits may prove beneficial for those whose symptoms are not severe.

I have it. Since birth. Diagnosed only in 2001. Underwent Gastric surgery (not exactly surgery) – broadening (dilation) of esophagus using Ballooning 20 years ago.

I dont know how to cook so for the past 3 years I have been living on maggi and swiggy.zomato . Had serious constipation, fissure and sour taste when waking up
During last lockdown I started eating home made food and loads of fruits and veggies ,as I got posting near my home . Without any exercise my weight reduced 10 kg in 5 months , my constipation and sourness gone in 6 months .
Outside food is the culprit , all those oils and masala is not good for liver
