Are Theatres allowing Side by side sitting?

As the title suggests, i need to know whether theatres are allowing to book tickets side by side as from Bookmyshow it is not possible.
Tomorrow going out with girlfriend. Thinking of going for a movie, but not gonna sit leaving a empty sit between.

p.s. I am from West Bengal

At some places there is no spacing.
Even if there is alternate seating, they are not blocking the middle seats, one can sit side by side I guess.

@chipi , They don’t allow you to book side by side tickets but when you will go to theatres, you can sit side by side or even in one’s lap as well. Telling from friend’s experience. grinning

Yaa there’ll be empty seats in between (W.B) if you’re going to any multiplex afaik (Inox) but If you’re determined enough, no distance can separate you….enjoy the 🎥, have fun.

Just coming from the movie, i booked tickets from bookmyshow app, it didn’t let me chose side by side seat, but when i reached theatre, everyone was sitting as if no such restriction exist. I also contributed to the same and sat beside my gf, enjoyed the movie and our little moments. Thank you everyone for the laughter
