Shark Tank India will not have the most fun, practical & straight forward 'Shark' Ashneer Grover this time.
Earlier this week, the trailer of Shark Tank India Season 2 released wherein Amit Jain, the co-founder & CEO of CarDekho was seen in Ashneer Grover's place.
Let's look at some facts about him!
1. Amit Jain is an Alumnus of IIT Delhi and hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He had worked as a software engineer at TCS after his graduation.
He is the type of man who is quite driven towards building for the Future. Besides, he prefers living in the moment & enjoys spending time with family.
2. Idea for CarDekho crossed Amit & his brother's mind when they visited Auto-Expo in New Delhi in 2008.
Their aim was to establish a portal to let potential buyers get all information & reviews about the car before buying it.
3. Fun Fact:
The two brothers had also started GirnarSoft, a software outsourcing company, in 2006 which eventually shut down due to massive losses.
4. According to Amit Jain's claim, CarDekho is currently valued at $ 1.2 billion and had secured Series-A funding of $15 million in 2013.
CarDekho had turned profitable after 7 years & had exceeded the $100 million revenue run-rate in September, 2021.
5. Head vs Heart :
Amit Jain told Hindustan Times that he doesn't rely on just one between heart & head, as it depends on the context.

His IQ was pretty low if he thought he could get away by screaming in a phone line that can easily be recorded these days.

Aise Khujli wale shark chahiye hote hai , many a times they deliberately jump in to give deals just for the sake that the Startup get better quotes from the Other Shark. Sabse **** to muje Sugar wali aur wo Pharmacy wali (She is hot though ) lagti hai

It's a semi-reality show. So masala chahiye. All the sharks are interviewed before the contract:

In this scenario, Judge a person by his contributions to the show. Looking into someone's past, business or his behavior is unrelated to the show.
But some of us are obsessed with someones past so much so we decide to ignore their work and decide to boycott (their movies altogether) them. Not to forget people boycotting everything these days (including but not limited to kid boycotting Qatar airways right from his terrace who probably never flew once unaware of the fact, most passengers decide the airlines based on fares and not based on the airlines.)
