The 47-year-old poet-turned-politician, Kumar Vishvas, was shunted out of Aam Aadmi Party after he went against his party’s ideology and stood in support of the surgical strike that was conducted by the Indian Army on 29 September 2016.

After Republic TV was the first channel to access and telecast the videos of the surgical strike, Kumar Vishvas took to Twitter and posted a series of tweets in which he mounted an attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

In his first tweet, he wrote," One out of the three reason why I was kicked out of the party was that I stood with the Army and supported the surgical strike. Now, that we have the proof of the courageous act of Army, all those who questioned it should apologize. If not me then at least to themselves."
